with basically all we know being “the order wants to advance magic at any cost” i think theres alot of room to explore their actions being for the good of the world, in their eyes atleast
you can also have some members with more weird/less agreeable ideas of what “good for humanity” means (what if theres like a high lord thats been mutating captives into atlanteans with the purpose of trying to find a way to allow them to keep intelligence/their mind to create some kind of stronger species more in tune with magic)
maybe itd also create a bit of conflict between the high lords due to their own personal ideas? it might be interesting though im not sure how fitting thatd be for the order of aesir it depends
