Dark Sea Cruising Vessel CACV-59

This is a multipurpose tape detailing general information of the new Dark Sea cruising vessel.

The newest model as of this tape is the AEV-67. The discussed model is the CACV-59.

Being the Abyssal Excursion Vessel made in the year 1967 and the Commercial Abyssal Cruising Vessel made in the year 1959.

Due to the diligent data provided by the Dark Sea research team, more known in the public eye as the Abyss Seekers, multiple properties of the Dark Sea have been discovered.

This vessel intends to take advantage of that.

The initial construction was shipped off to Redwake, as their new outpost at the Pelion rift has proved crucial in early testing of all models.

All vessels, regardless of purpose are launched from Palo town, as it has a direct path to the Dark Sea with little to no obstructions.

The Skyship technologies of Cirrus island have also proved crucial to the development of all models.

The rest of the tape details functions on the vessel. You may show this part to all passengers and crew it is intended for.

[ CHAPTER 1 - DAILY LIFE ]

Welcome aboard the Dark Sea Cruising vessel, the CACV-59.

There are many sights in the Dark Sea to see for yourself, this vessel intends to provide you this experience with as little risk to you and your fellow passengers as possible.

Before settling in for your trip, remove all imbuements off your weapons and fighting styles.

It may cause a chaotic disruption, which can cause surges of magic energy in places where it can prove unsafe.

If you are feeling sick or feel your sanity crumbling, reach for a cabinet marked with a blue cross.

It contains a stash of warding laced water, take one if you feel it necessary.

Here is a list of banned activities.

Fishing with intent to cook.

Attempting to hunt down specimen.

Attempting to measure data of the dark sea during your trip.

You are here to relax. Not to be worrisome.

[ CHAPTER 2 - ENGINE OPERATORS AND MAINTENANCE ]

You are responsible for the engine of the vessel, worry not though.

The only orders you’ll have to worry about are the surge command.

If your captain tells you to surge, you are to activate a function of the

propelling pads, though often used on skyships they prove to be effective in the dark sea too.

Making these pads surge will prevent the chaotic energy in the water from doing mass amounts of damage to the hull.

It will instead propel it away. If one of these pads is to break, screw it open and recalibrate it as soon as possible. Multiple malfunctions of these technologies can prove dangerous.

[CHAPTER 3 - CUISINE SPECIALISTS ]

There is a massive food storage with ice magic preservation, you’re free to fish up some exclusive fish from the dark sea but please decontaminate any chaos energy off of them before serving. And if there’s any other components to these aquaspecimen, such as poisonous or venomous qualities… neutralize those too, obviously.

[CHAPTER 4 - ENFORCED SAFETY PERSONNEL]

The cruiser is both a cruise ship and a cruiser in nature.

We have a surprise hidden under a tarp at the bow of the ship, don’t

lift it unless you’re being actively attacked.

As for hostile dark sea specimen, feel free to mow them down with magic gatling guns.

They work using explosion magic and metal magic in tandem, allowing insane rates of fire.

To adjust the rate of fire, readjust the analog lever to the amount suitable to the situation.

DO NOT USE THIS TO HARM ANYONE ONBOARD.

If you are seen to have done so, you will be sent to Silverhold for an immediate trial.

If you see the expedition team depart and moments later see them in danger, provide covering fire.

If there is a threat onboard, neutralize it using your rifle with much of the same capabilities as the gatling gun.

[CHAPTER 5 - MEDICAL PERSONNEL ]

You’re known as alchemists at home and at heart, but here you are responsible for immediate first response when someone is injured, and restocking the various medical cabinets.

You are to work in tandem with the expedition team.

They’re responsible for your ingredients.

[CHAPTER 6 - EXPEDITION TEAM ]

You are to be the most experienced of all the crew aboard.

Several years of the Abyss Expedition Academy in experience

with no accidents on record and immensely loyal to any crew lucky enough to have you.

You are permitted imbuement when outside of the cruiser’s range.

Your jetboats for expeditions are located at the back of the ship.

They far outpace most vessels and are prone to crashing.

They have a repair kit, some medical supplies, and a cargo hold.

The cargo hold is where you put everything you attained on your expedition.

You are then to neutralize any threats on the island you searched.

Your loadout has a tank on the back.

It is filled with concentrated warding syrum, if you feel anything is amiss…

Inject yourself with it immediately as there is a needle attached to the hose on the side.

You are armed with concentrated magic rifles, these must always be imbued in order to be the most effective they can.

You also have a First-Strike Harpoon Torpedo.

If any ship is tailing the cruising vessel with malicious intent, charge headfirst and you have 5 seconds to get out of the blast range.

It will sink it in half a minute, and there’s nothing they can do to stop it.

[ CHAPTER 7 - LOGISTICS TEAM ]

You are mostly responsible for moving everything around the ship.

Anything that the expedition team found, any ammo for the “surprise”, foodstuffs, etc.

You are also occasionally responsible for fishing if supply seems to be running low.

[ CHAPTER 8 - EMERGENCY SHIELD OPERATORS ]

If you get the order from the captain, orient the shield and activate it.

This shield can neutralize damage from magic weather, magic of any type, sea conditions, and First Strike Harpoon Torpedoes.

No ship can see that there is an emergency shield even present on any ship, until it’s activated.

DO NOT ACTIVATE IT UNDER ANY OTHER CIRCUMSTANCES BESIDES DIRECT ORDER.

THIS SHIELD IS NOT PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE. DO NOT USE IT UNLESS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY.

Extra Info about the shields :

They were developed by Constellia after a series of convoy disappearances within proximity of the waters the Solstice Empire had been active recently.

[ CHAPTER 9 - CAPTAIN ]

As the captain of the vessel you are responsible of the passengers and crew’s safety.

Everyone else relies on you so don’t let them down.

You have seen the entirety of this tape, in its entirety.

The rest haven’t, you’re aware of everything now.

There should be a guidebook located on your desk with further details.
