Yeah it’s pretty annoying and more fluff than anything.

I simply agree.

I lost 4k health of my brig and had to pull an awesome expedition with my friend (15 sealed and going up) because it struck the ship out of nowhere 2 times and I couldnt see the clouds or even react to it at all.

There are a few slight consolations to your problems. Glass pearls do spawn in the dark sea so you can get some clearsight ingredients, even if they aren’t as good. My issue is that clearsight doesn’t last nearly long enough to be useful.

It has already been established that the red lightning definitely has an audio cue, and that if you can tell where the sound is you can avoid it, but also I think that the sky above where it going to strike turns red for a moment before it does. I generally find the purple lightning worse because of this.

These are not definite solutions, and this isn’t me saying that your problems are irrelevant and that you should just get better or something. This is me saying that there are a few good things that you may not have noticed that could save you at some point.

oh yea I’ve found… one glass pearl across all my expeditions.

for some reason it seems like almost every island either
1: Doesn’t have a beach.
2: Has a gravel beach that nothing spawns on.

Another QoL suggestion, if you’re in a party, and that the brig owners dies, allow other players to spawn their ship. Like if the brig disappears the game just says “screw you”, even if in the team there’s 3 people that could spawn a brig

Alternative suggestion: dont despawn ships in the dark sea unless the entire party is dead
The bed is allready disabled why not just let the others keep the ship

So if the ship owner spawns their ship, 2 of the same ship exists at the same time, one at the owner’s location and the other one is in the dark sea?

i could live with this. that or really bad idea here
it transmutes it’s self into the next person to take the captains wheel (and then… the ship turns into a rowboat and everyone is screwed)
