Dawn Island

I’m guarding one of my friends while they do cargo, and at redwake I realize that the player ends up “naming” Dawn Island, the interaction with a certain npc makes it so the player suggests the name Dawn Island, which the npc agrees to and says it will probably become its common name

I thought it was kinda cool and just wanted to know if anyone else had discovered this

i saw this and it made me wonder if all the wilderness islands have any actual names or if its just major places like towns and forts that have names mentioned in dialog

Since we’re an adventurer logging our exploration with our own map, diary etc my headcanon/theory is that most wilderness islands that aren’t referenced by other NPCs just have names that we gave them on our maps

Thats smart, and definitely makes sense with how some are named based off of the basic things that are. Examples being mango island having mangos or darkpine island having pine trees
