Yeah, that’s the idea- though it’d probably be limited like crew auto-fishing is.

yk just by the title I knew this had to be you

Extraordinarily good and polished suggestion, both content and formatting wise.

This is the gold standard of suggestions: Not too complex, not too wordy, no specific details, great ideas, custom images to help deliver the message, good formatting and sectioning - just everything is great.

While this suggestion has great ideas, I feel like adding more professions would exacerbate the issue of ship customization. Currently, if you want to try a new profession, you have to delete a deckhand and level up an entirely new one, which is really annoying and expensive time and resource wise. This issue already exists (to an extent) and isn’t a fault with the suggestion, it’s just that some of the deckhand ideas sound so good that it would exacerbate this issue.

It would be good QOL if we could swap a proffesion instead of having to delete a deckhand.

I think this suggestion about reserve slots would be good enough.

Swapping professions is also a passable solution imo, but I just like this idea more. Doesn’t feel like I have to sacrifice my hard earned notebooks, coal, and whatnot.

You know negative reps aren’t the only ones who constantly get hunted…

This is perfect. Perfect. Everything. Down to the last minute detail.

DECKHAND UPDATE 2.0

:speaking_head: :fire:

Yes. Which is why any hunting related benefit is FOR all reputations. It is only ONE of its THREE abilities that only benefit negative rep players.

It’s kinda crazy how it’s impossible for this man to not post peak everytime.
Anyways, very good suggestion overall, we do need some more qol in general for deckhands but we’ll probably see that in future updates and with new ships that get added to the game.

that will give the negative rep players an unfair advantage because its unobtainable by positive reps

Unfair how? How is it unfair to have something that decreases the impact of notoriety and helps you clear it more conveniently?

Crimson, how the actual hell do you consistently cook better than like 99% of the forum?

I propose we add a new system where Crimsonpants suggestions can have up to 6 stars in each category instead of five.

they have to spend less cash
sure, it might not be alot but over the course of, oh i dont know, multiple years that can quickly stack up, especially with the afformentioned much lower price

I mean, maybe, but negative reps are already playing on hard mode.

I need… ALL OF THIS!!!

Vetex might not add this since suggestions seem overlooked (lmao) but this would be amazing to give AO’s sailing some more life, especially when we get bigger ships.
10/10, keep cooking Crimsonpants.

Villain players have several major downsides for some miniscule upsides. One, they can sink ANY ship and get loot. Pretty decent. Two, they can steal cargo, that’s… meh? Alright for dark sea but not really much else. Three, they can hunt anyone- if you are a pve villain this means nothing to you.

But interacting with ANY of these benefits grants notoriety, which is essentially a tax for playing a villain unless you want to have to fight for your life constantly. I just want to give em’ options to soften the blow notoriety has on their gameplay in general!

peak suggestion!!!
