Deckhands: Why?

What if in exchange they also load and unload cargo for you? The more deckhands/crew you have the faster they load and unload from any given distance from the shipwright as long as your boat is near the island the shipwright is on

That would probably suffice, as long as you could toggle when the crew unloads cargo.

erm… i mean by 15 MORE… that would mean you have both the sails and the hull. . . . . . . . . .

Is speed that potent?

122 speed is very very fun

Never recruit a deckhand that already has a higher rank, always get rookie deckhands.
Upgrading them always results in stronger deckhands than the preset ones.

Yeeah, I didn’t think that Deckhand level actually affected anything until I started recruiting them. It’s why I instantly recruited my second Deckhand after seeing she was cheap and at Exotic-tier.

They still level up with your renown so it doesnt really matter at the end of the day. You just save galleons from needing to upgrade them less later.

You dont get what im saying, im not talking about the levels.
If you upgrade a Rookie Deckhand to Legendary, their stats will be better than a preset Legendary you would find normally.

I don’t think that’s how it works.
Certain stats like defense or ram strength do have a noticeable increase when the NPC levels or ranks up, while others such as speed and resilience don’t. The stats must have sort of table that determine how many stats the NPC provides at a given lv or rank.
If you find a low lv legendary compared to a higher lv one you promoted yourself, it’s clear that the one you promoted will be better because it has a higher lv.
