Let me tell you a story.
There was a boy who bought deepwoken for the first time on christmas. He booted it up, and played nonstop for a week.
His characters level was max. He had many enchants.
Then, one day, he got jumped by a ganking squad.
“No matter!”, said the boy, still cheerful.
Then he had to kill two sharkos. Victorious, however, he had to deal with another ganker afterwards.
Sent to the depths, the boy was still happy.
UNTIL
He gets killed by an exploiter, and didn’t manage to record it. Weeks, hours, tears of gameplay. All of it ruined.
Deepwoken shouldn’t even be a permadeath, but I guess some people just really like that kind of thing.
