In my opinion it leens more to deepwoken as it’s fairer and easier to get lives
neither, they’re both pvp permadeath and thus irreparably ass.
Permadeath is a mechanic used to squeeze more play-time out of the player, it’s such an annoying feature as it encourages people to waste so much more time than they realistically should.
So, therefore;
It ain’t ass
It’s our opinion, saying it isn’t ass is trying it push your opinion onto ours.
We stick with; Irreparably ass.
Losing all of my progress because some dude who hasn’t seen the light of day in 2 weeks decided to be an asshole
Which is the least ass then
Neither, equal amounts of irreparably ass.
Then which is fairer
Neither, both use Permadeath, I don’t count Permadeath as fair.
Perma death in a rogue lite or whatever it’s called is fine. Runs don’t normally last more then a couple of hours top and it’s pve not PvP. Rogue and deep have it more slapped on. Deep would be fine (there would need some tweaks obv like slowing progression) as the rng of build making which “validated” perms death is basically gone. With shrine of order, burning/freezing/foretelling cards you can reliably always get the build you want. Removing perma death would make it feel more like a souls/elden ring game. Death still has weight as you lose items and places like layer 2 you only keep loot if you properly escape and not die/hook out
Rouge lineage would just die instantly
Notice how I talked about deep not rogue. It’s like one of them games has more to it then simply being a perma death game
Deep’s progression isn’t even centered around PvP. The only time PvP helps progress is if you’re a void walker or your resonance progresses faster with player kills. Mind you neither of these lock you into PvP and being a void walker is purely optional
While rouge lineage prog is just pvp and nothing else
Correct and is an ancient game that I believe isn’t actively updated nor expanded on

So it’s not updated then for the primary game. It functionally may as well be dead and doesn’t hold weight in the convo for me
For deep the only things that involve PvP actively are
Void walker origin < this origin lets you teleport to a bounty target and gives you progression and loot for successful hunts
PvP path resonance < one of 3(4) random paths that gets buffed for resonance gaining. The 3 are PvP, bosses, and depths (and a 4th that’s all 3) but you can do all of em anyways just 1 (or 3) are buffed
Certain oaths < some oaths involve killing certain players to progress them the popular one being contractor
Murmur: Tacet < 2/4 ways of getting this involves bounty hunting, the others being high charisma or being a soul breaker.
Chime < this is just ranked PvP. It’s where most PvP people go cause it’s straight forward to get the fights you want and you get bragging rights (elo)
