tbh some counter moves that reflect attacks could be cool as like specific spells or techniques, but i don’t think it should be a universal thing like dodge reflex

just make it work with any attack instead

Give it a very long cd or Lotta endlag so blocking and parrying wouldn’t become obsolete

Ehh not sure, i mean, deflection is just like parrying but with a chance to counter attack.

Unless a failed deflection would mean 100% of damage to you then it would be fine

Think of it like this; if you time the deflect perfectly your opponents attack will reflect back at them, but if your off on the timing itll just be shot in a different direction instead of straight back to your opponent.

Sure does sound like it is considering you only mentioned magic attacks.
Maybe you should have thought “Hm, i only talked about deflecting magic, i should remake the suggestion before posting it so people don’t think i want only magic to be deflectable.”

The suggestion is basically this:
“We should be able to deflect magic!”
with very very tiny disclaimer text of “guys you gotta believe me i dont want magic to be the worst stat ingame”

I’m not reading all of this but it sounds like a beserker with a skill issue made this

Yeah but that’s less punishing, in 1v1 it won’t do much if it’s deflected to a random part, you should priorotize not dying before killing the enemy, and making this hurt you if failed means it’s kinda risky to use, like snare, if its failed you get a long endlag that can make you susceptible to strong attacks or other grabs.

Maybe this move could have a long endlag instead of you getting 100% dmg of the attack

why do we need more defense options, and why has it gotta be specific against magic, you know what this will cause? this will cause mages to become metal mancers with 300 size and 200 power with placed explosions bigger than idk, why? because they can’t use blasts

3: Its more than a parry enhancer, you just refuse to see it that way

4: You still get damaged even when you parry, deflecting could negate it but its a high risk high reward type thing. Also the projectile will increase in speed once its deflected/reflected (common sense mechanically)

5: I am a mage and using the “Skill Issue” excuse isn’t helping your argument nor anyone else’s.

Bro just rewrite it to include all classes like have it deflect all projectile type attacks.

I tweaked the wording a bit so that it might be more understandable.

Also, why did you give yourself stars? This suggestion is… abyssmal, at best, really.

It is severely unbalanced and makes sense in no aspect of this game- due to points already named- and also, you mention “if its off timing, it just gets shot in a different direction”???

So in short:
Do deflect? Enemy takes damage! You take no damage!
Do not deflect bc you messed the timing up? Attack gets shot somewhere else! You take no damage!

Most abysmal suggestion yet, never cook again, and that is coming from me of all people
