This is gonna be another one of those suggestions that was birthed from a glorious rage from deep within my soul.

Of all the lost spell scrolls I’ve gotten throughout these last few weeks, every single one of them has been enchantment. For the few of you who have never experienced the pure joy of playing mage and simultaneously live under a rock, let me explain why this is infuriating.

Put simply, enchantment is a shit spell that I’ve never seen or heard of anyone heard of exactly one person using unironically. All it does is apply aura effects to other party members within a certain radius, with no effect on you. Do you really think people in a heated battle will find a way to group up and cast enchantment on each other? God forbid they’re fighting other players; they’re gonna get blasted like it’s a firing squad.

Even disregarding its worthless nature, is this really lost spell material? Again, all it does is apply aura effects to party members within a radius. Compare that with the other two lost spells. Annihilation is a literal fucking pulsating nuke derived from some of the most powerful spells in AA’s gameplay, while conjure elemental is also kinda bad but is unique enough to warrant its status.

With all this in mind, I propose, if enchantment is to stay in its current form, demoting it to a rare spell to better reflect its function and its value both in combat and in the game’s economy. No more poisoning the lost spell loot pool with this thing.

Wait!!! False bc actually you ran into me, the #1 (only) enchantment user, ingame a couple hrs ago :sob:

One Enchantment user is enough (me), and so I just quickly pop in and out between all my allies at opportune moments or during downtimes, so there’s never really any danger. But I will say it’s really annoying when they unknowingly dash out of the AoE as I’m casting it

I will not deny that enchantment is utterly worthless in the marketplace, but I think it’s at least barely deserving of its spot as a lost tier spell

It’s useless when you’re not in a party ofc[1], but its potential value in combat is pretty high. For example, let’s say you buff 3 people during a group fight, like a dragon raid or fort. You’re giving them a buff equivalent to that of an Aura spell (that stacks multiplicatively with Aura too), so you’re essentially giving away around the value of 3 free moves with one spell

All of that aside, I still think it needs a buff to really solidify its place as a lost tier[2] :broken_heart:. Also you prob shouldn’t completely trust my word since I’m kinda biased (i love this spell)

  1. please devs make a toggle for support abilities apply to ppl that aren’t in ur party if pvp is disabled (unless it got vetoed) :folded_hands: ↩︎

  2. like why does it have a lower duration and higher cooldown than Aura ↩︎

enchantment should give half aura effectiveness to the user casting it which scales up by 50% every player buffed capped out at 2x effectiveness with at least 3 players

enchantment lowkey sounds like a basic skill to me :sob:

Literally all you do is imbue your magic energy onto others to buff them

enchantment is already in the game so enchantment spell should be a spell that makes your gear stronger temporarily :aga:

enchantment could also simply just be a variant of aura in customisation :+1:

It’s aura for others. It shouldn’t be complex enough to be lost tier

I agree.
Enchantment spell is hard to count as “Lost Spell”, when it stands on the same row with “Annihilation” and “Conjure Elemental”
Hell, even Ray or Surge would stand on a few steps higher than Enchantment.

Enchantment itself is a support type of spell, it should be Lost tier ONLY if its OP, like for example, you drain your stamina/energy to transfer your energy/stamina to your teammate (Imo),

I agree that it should be demoted to rare spell.
