it wasn’t the reactions specifically, he also was going against other things the mods were asking him to stop (editing titles of posts for example)
Their temp suspension seems to be for reasons other than that. Mass reacting isn’t a violation of any of the rules.
Rule 13.1 is basically misuse of Regular Trust Level permissions.
Rule 3 is “harmful trolling”

Theres a point where it starts to get annoying. I would probably see people asking him to be banned for it and even topics directly going at him for it
I thought that him spamming reactions is fine at first until it started to get real annoying since every-time I came to the forums I’d see people complaining about him spamming reactions/mass notifications/message reaction clutter in the regular private chat
Yes, you could theoretically just press “ignore/mute” on the forum account but it still didn’t prevent how much others kept talking about it, even outside of the forums and forum regular private chat not exactly blocking it, for me at least it just becomes blinding and cluttered in the private chat
(Mainly the “outside” discord thing pin-points to me since I’m in some AO-discord like server for the foums, not AOFP and spam like this usually gets talked about in that server)
And I also see people wanting him to be banned as well for pretty much being insufferable with the spam/Crusade’s post, do note he was told to stop many times but kept “trolling” and being a nuisance (Even ignored messages told to stop by moderators)
(This behavior continued for weeks/months)
Probably the best I could think of for why people wanted him banned so badly or at least a removal of his regular

frankly I don’t see how this is deron’s fault or problem.
Its not his fault these guys decided to make such a big deal out of it and whine and cry infinitely about it.
I am much more annoyed by the spam posts whining about the extra notifications than I am the extra notifications.
boohoo, I have 3 more notifications than normal, whatever will I do.
moderation should have never been involved in this outside of shutting down the constant deron hate posts that popped up every 3 seconds because people just can’t get over an extra ping.

This is true, but the amount topics that occur mainly due to people getting influenced by deron’s spam is starting to get annoying. Big problem is that it’s not just a “few guys”. I don’t know how or see why deron manage to influence so many others to argue about this problem as well, I don’t see why there should be an armies worth of people trying to get him punished for this spam (And some-times the reason can usually be for something other than watching your notifications be stock-piled)
For the notification part, I guess it just falls under opinions here, I can see people getting annoyed at notifications when given, even when it’s irrelevant and not want to take a second look at it but when irrelevant notifications are constantly given then I could probably see them getting annoyed. But for some, it’s just a high-lighted notification message and can just ignore and still find peace on this site without much bother. So I guess this part would usually fall under how a person would react to it (Which not much people here can with-stand the constant pings)
Personally I don’t mind the lots of notifications, for me I just find seeing a lot of reactions spammed on the regular-chat and the constant chit-chat’s about it like it’s the apocalypse.
If deron stopped then it’d be solved, since if one person complains all I can say is that it’ll chain into oblivion and then more reasons will arise to try and “damage” deron
I strongly believe that the people trying to ostracize the guy over some notifications should be the people that the mods are telling to stop.
Deron’s suspension here should be completely knocked off the record because its bullshit, he didn’t break any rules.

It floods topics, making them hard to read and find true reactions. The main problem with it was the amount he was doing it (a lot more than three), sending several people tons of notifications. It became an issue when he continued after being told by many peope after many times to stop.
I’m trying to stay respectful, but it’s very difficult when someone has no respect for others. It is clear you don’t truly understand the depth of the issue here, so I ask that you listen to what others are saying and understand why people have been upset.
The issue is that you’re whining and crying over nothing.
I get just as many “deron reactions” as you do, and I don’t care.
Get over it.
