also if legendary weapons are tradeable, why would legendary magics not be?
im also pretty sure that the ‘inherently evil magics’ thing is not an idea anymore, correct me if im wrong
ancient magics are EXTREMELY powerful, and you can’t even use them without having a inventory full of lost spells. they are extremely rare and if you get one as a non magic build you can trade it for something of equal value.
(cross builds trading is one of the most useful things)
if you find one and just destroy it for fame that lasts for 2 seconds because the emperor of the sea themself comes after you, you probably want to revise your opinion.
the only thing that would match a lost/ancient scroll is other scrolls so it doesnt decentivise anything, just allows you to actually get the magic you want
The point of endgame trading is to take one super rare item and trade it for a different super rare item.
The person you’re trading with has the item you want and you have the item they want.
For instance: They have some crazy ancient magic scroll but they’re a warlord, and you have a endgame legendary strength weapon but you’re a mage.
There’s no “bad” magic, techically there is “magics with bad reputations” - mainly shadow related, but its only 2 magics. Any other magic can be used by Grand Navy themself to fight criminals
You can store it in your inv, to trade for one you like.
Why destroy if you can forcefully lost a lost scroll
