see the trick to making a good april fool’s update is that it has to be unusual and out of place, but still funny and enjoyable and doesn’t totally disrupt the game.
inverting movement controls would accomplish nothing but the complete opposite of these things.

Sharks are randomly up to 50% larger or 50% smaller. Will this cause hitbox issues? Probably, but who cares? It’s just for a day or two.
There is a slight (2%) chance for any given attack to be a crit. Such an attack deals +200% damage to NPCs, but no extra damage to players. (So sweats don’t whine.) Crits are indicated by the attack taking on a random magic’s particles.
The player may be hit by “fake out” orange-red lightning in the Dark Sea. This lightning homes in on the player, deals 20 damage (literally nothing), applies no combat tag, and cannot paralyze. Happens every 20-40 minutes in the Dark Sea.
