History and lore:
The clan was founded by player Kerfesh_S in the second half of 2023 as the Cult of Chaos. At first, it existed mainly as a personal bank for one beginner player. After the release of the Empire update, the clan changed its name to Cult of Khorne and updated its logo. It was fully dedicated to Khorne — one of the Chaos Gods from the Warhammer 40,000 universe.
By the summer of 2025, the clan had begun to grow actively and already had 6–7 regular members. In the winter of 2025, Cult of Khorne was renamed to Devourers of the War Seas, and the logo was changed back to the original version.
With the release of the full version of the game, the Russian-speaking community grew significantly, and a separate guild was created.
As of spring 2026 and beyond, the main goal of DoWS has been to unite the Russian-speaking community of Arcane Odyssey: actively searching for and merging with smaller Russian groups, as well as forming alliances with other clans.
