Alright, so.
It’d stated in the lore doc that if you acquire enough spirit energy, you can gain the ability to summon magic circles.
Durza turned into a spirit, presumably made of spirit energy, and if he couldn’t summon magic circles due to lack of spirit energy, I doubt he could do that.
So the question is, did Durza ever get a magic of his own, but he ditched it in favor of his massive arsenal of curses? I’d think he would at some point, especially considering he can probably drain and absorb spirit energy with his curse too.
Prior to the spirit energy thing I just thought he was born with it, but hadn’t like “awakened” it until he came into contact with the dark crystals. Like a really really really really really late bloomer. It’s headcanon as far as I’m aware, but I think it makes the most sense.
I don’t think so, though I don’t really share the opinion that having magic being something you’re born with is bad either.
I wouldn’t hold my breath. Especially since enizor just outright says “the adrenaline from the dark sea awakening something in me” its pretty much flat out said the power was in him from the get go and the dark sea, or rather the danger and stress of the dark sea, brought it out.
YIPPPEEEE I’ve complained about how volatile the lore is (the lore doc is literally wrong here now) but I’m glad about this change, never liked high spirit energy being a prerequisite to magic use
also is that the patreon chat or one of the higher level chats?
Lot of growing pains where Vetex is really trying to figure out what he wants to do. I don’t expect anything to get solidified for absolutely certain til he starts writing those books.
