What were you doing before bug occurred: write here
I joined through a friend and then I just got sent to Dawn Island with my character not being able to do anything. But then I left and did play instead and got to the first cutscene but I had somehow skipped the option to rechose my name and magic.

I guess you had to join through a friend instead of pressing play and that makes you skip the option of recustomizing your character.

This image is what happened when I tried to join off a friend when the game just released.
it didn’t let me rechoose my name either but it worked for someone else in my server
i was able to rechoose my name but not how i looked just went to the tailor in the first town
The thing is that my character has some stuff I don’t want to lose like seasonals so I can’t remake my character, but main thing I want to do is just my change my name.

The same thing happened to me, I couldn’t change my name at all only my magic. Maybe vetex could add some other method of changing your name?

maybe because there’s so many players the game’s kinda falling apart so like some things might not work?

This also happened to me and i was unable to change my name too
i also could not change my name
i just deleted my file and made a new one because i didn’t want stuff to carry over and it worked fine
I don’t think there was ever supposed to be an option to recreate your character, just choose a new name and magic.
That’s what I meant. I didn’t get an option to choose a new magic or new name.
