The only kind of sand dollar that washes ashore are the dead (or dying) kind, so no sand dollar in AO are live animals.

Some people don’t realize, ALL SEASHELLS ARE BONES.
Like, we overlook that too often. When you put your ear up to a conch, you are playing with a snail’s skeleton.
I don’t think it should be shamed or anything, but it should at least be acknowledged that all shells are bone.
