Difference in harvesting build and trading build

Why is it when i do 2 harvest and 2 recover i lose supplies and food like crazy at minimize risk while when i do 2 trading and 2 recover i dont lose supplies and food like crazy like whats he diffrence

Different commands take different amount of stuff.

Trading: Your fleet’s crew will passively gather Spices, Herbs, Cannonballs, Drachma, and Enchantment Scrolls. It takes -0-10% from all categories.

Patrol/Plunder takes strength but gives supplies and food and also 1.5x extra damage on ships. Takes about -0-20% strength, Gives about +0-55% supplies, +0-35% food.

Fishing also takes strength and supplies but gives food. Takes -0-10% strength and supplies, Gives +0-45% food.

Conquest takes the most and 3x damage on your fleet. Equally reduces -0-10% from each category.

Exploring takes a moderate amount of strength, supplies and food. Also takes -0-10% from each category.

Harvest also takes -0-10% from each category.

Recover well, recovers strength. About +0-14.5% per command ship, gives no supplies or food.

The reason why your supplies and food are being used more is like I said, things range from 0% - 10% for harvest, exploring and trading. So it might be that your RNG was bad when harvest , taking the maximum amount like 10%, but during trading your RNG was better was taking 2-4%, maybe even 0%

Trading also gives you drachma
Since you are on minimise risk, that extra drachma goes toward restocking supplies and food
