Dragons are fun to hunt and kill for their loots but what if there were different kind of species of dragons to hunt and they act and fight differently?
As of right now, the dragons we have in arcane Odyssey currently are the western dragons (four legged with wings), but that’s all, only western dragons currently exist but what if there were more different species of dragons to make more variety? Depending on different dragon species, can fight differently and maybe also drop different dragon loots when killing it.
List of dragon species
Wyverns: (Two legged, winged dragon)
Wyverns are non fire breathing but venomous quilled tail dragons originating in European heraldry. It would be capable of flying like the western dragons but not breath fire but use its venomous quills.
Eastern Dragons: (Wingless, serpent like dragons)
Eastern Dragons, or aka the Loong Dragons are wingless, serpentine body like dragons from the Asia mythology that controls rain and water, so generally they would wield magic or storm like magic or breath out water breath. It’s wingless but still capable of flying with their magic.
Hydra: (Multi headed dragons, either can be winged or wingless)
The multi headed dragons from Greek mythology, although it being winged or wingless dragon is up for debate. Another water based dragon known for its incredible regenerative abilities.
Drake: (Four legged, wingless, ground dragons)
The drakes are flightless dragons that are very much similar to the regular western dragons except flying. They can either breath fire or purely brute strength.
Wyrm: (wingless, legless, serpentine like dragons)
The wingless, legless, venomous serpentine like dragons that derived form Old Norse. They are capable of breathing out toxic cloud and venomous fluid. They cannot fly but they are capable of burrowing into the ground so they would function as burrowing ambushing dragons.
