cool ideas, but for tanning carrying around an umbrella in a pvp scenario isn’t really feasible and that’s where a lot of tanning happens since for some god forsaken reason all the arenas are hot islands
Perhaps they should ad more baths from the brig in to other areas like a bathhouse
the umbrella would be a vanity item that while on your character, prevents tanning

well, yeah, you’re not particularly going to be caring about not tanning during a fight, that’s specifically why it exists. it’s vanity, it’s for your looks, not any practical or pvp item.
besides, having cuts all over you, dirt, bleeding, ripped clothes and possibly red arms/legs if you use drawback are more of an issue than tanning.
what Vetex wants is immersion. carrying an umbrella during a fight to the death and moving so much would also break that immersion, so obviously you won’t use it in a pvp scenario.
Everyone keeps coming up with roundabout ways to solve a very simple problem. Literally make this an option in the menu. For people who CARE about SPECIFIC aesthetics (ala syruupy earlier), just let them turn it off. Not make it a chore they have to manage, just turned off. Out of sight, out of mind.
i actually do care about not tanning during a fight. and it should absolutely be possible to disable your tan during a pvp scenario. that would be very helpful for when you’re on munera garden and you don’t want a new slur pass by the end of the day

Yeah, but the major complaint Syruupy had when he and I talked was that this is a chore. Its not something he can just turn off and never worry about- it’s essentially another hunger bar. Something he has to constantly apply lest he risk losing the aesthetic of his character
