Discussed for lost magics

I think lost magics would have to be 2 per magic, like one being an upgraded vers and another being a magic combo, OR when youfind thehecate shard you just mutate into a magic relating to its properties. Think of lost magic ideas that would make sense.

obvious wind + lightning = storm
fire + ash = eruption (no point magma already exists)
rock + wood = nature
crystal + fire/magma = metamorphism (crystals being in liquid state till they latch on something and consolidate causing stun )
light + wood = healing (dryiad type shit)
poison + shadow = death or plague (evil + evil = big evil type shit)
shadow + fire = dark flames
anything + fire = variation of fire ig

i made this on how i think they should work such as phoenix being a mutation of fire and wind but also ash because phoenixes rise from ashes and wave being a mutation of lightning and shadow cause it like a negative energy or energy which is lightning and light cause its positive energy

you do realize mutations arent magic fusions? you dont mix magics to get mutations/lost magics…

Pretty sure you only need either one of the two magics in order to mutate it

So my guess is for Storm magic, you only need either lighting or wind in order to mutate one of them into storm magic

just act like the + shit is there to explain where it came from

it would be really weird if i randomly said “metamorphism” off crystal without giving context

Why would the value system be relevant if you just find a shard and mutate your magic into something relating to its properties?

I personally think you should be able to get an option, like for fire - flare, heat, sun, or pheonix. wind - gravity, slash, flare, whirpool, blizzard. light - aether, sun. water - plant, healing, wave, whirlpool, lunar. earth - gravity, diamond, plant. shadow - darkness, lunar. etc. etc.

water wind or lightning, since storm is composed of all these 3

and why phoenix is a wind mutation too, enough im taking your wifi away

erm, actually sun is just fire magic x 2, not a light mutation :nerd_face:

This may not be lore accurate, but honestly, I hope there is another method that allows us to choose any lost magic we want without the limitation that it must be your first magic-related (magic mutation). Maybe having both the lost magic scroll method (the previous method) or a similar way, and the Hecate shards for magic mutation currently planned would be interesting.

It would be cool to see some “weird” and creative magic loadouts in the late game like these:

  • Ash / Ancient Lightning / Sacrifice
  • Fire / Storm / Electron
  • Magma / Gravity / Apocalypse Bringer
  • Light / Darkness / Equinox
    (btw ancient magic here cuz late game soo)

Its kinda :skull: if every glass mage had that exact same Glass/Slash/Shatter loadout. idk really

Its not going to happen since i think vetex did say that it would have to be a specific property related to base magocs like for example, fire having access to flare, heat, sun, and pheonix

Not really related to what yall were talking about but the new boss does have diamond magic, pretty cool.
