Please feel free to discuss the ways you grind those. Mostly to help other players (me, Im selfish) find a good way to get them.
just get negative rep and go around and open every chest you can see (also private storage since they have the same loot as silver chests)

Seems like the Brewing part of this topic was made for me.
For starters: only ever make Tier 1 potions when you’re going to Perfect Brewing. They’re the most XP efficient by far, they just take a little while longer.
Reagents:
These are much easier to get in mass quantities than Catalysts are. There are plenty of easy ones to farm en masse, and plenty you get a ton of by just doing your thing.
My personal recommendation for getting the 500 Reagents needed to finish off Perfect Brewing would probably have to be Bones or Toxic Seawater. One is more passive, the other more active when it comes to farming.
Bones are just obtained by having your fish rot in your inventory, meaning you’d need to catch 500 fish to get enough Bones for Perfect Brewing, ignoring any other Reagents you might have lying around in your inventory. This really isn’t that bad, and can be done pretty passively while fishing for Sunken armor, the new enchant scrolls, or finishing your fishing journal.
Toxic Seawater is a slightly more active Reagent to get your hands on, as it requires some trading. Filling glass bottles in the Dark Sea gives you this reagent on every fill, meaning they’re pretty fast once you get your hands on them.
Trade with random players for their glass bottles with Galleons or other assorted items, head to the Dark Sea, and fill them all in one go. Just stick by your ship and come up for air when needed (or simply use a Waterbreathing potion and get them all done at once).
Catalysts:
Nothing much to say on these aside from trading. You need 1000 common catalysts to max your Brewing, and they’re incredibly passive to earn from gameplay. There’s nowhere to buy them from or actively farm them in large numbers. Just trade with randoms until you get all that you need.
So I should just get pinecones and toxic sea water then become Poseidon himself
