Discussion on value list issue 2/how do you find players who don’t use it

Everyone’s using the overpriced values on the value list instead of just negotiating with traders. I trade based off what I find valuable. But it’s so difficult to find players with sunken warrior who dont follow the value list. I gotta server hop for hours just to find someone with legendary scales.

in the past trades went like this
A “eh i don’t really care about my acrimony”
B “I NEED acrimony to change my build”
A “I also need 30k of galleons for my clan, hoping I can sell it”
B “How about I give 30k galleons for your acrimony
A “deal”

but I guess intrinsic trading isn’t a thing anymore

how do you get around it?

I’m d1 non value list no modifier user

trade with me

these discord mods are like nah I mean I’ll never use it but why not add to my 5 million galleon fortune with one extra triasta of bronze am I right

value list users on their way to charge you 90k galleons for a frozen straw hat

As a Value List user myself, I can confidently say that the only way to stop people from using it would be to make the community and its people trustworthy again all while being deserving of your time.

I’m too scared to lose out on things -especially rare valuables- because of the amount of people out there, willing to exploit others for their own benefits.
Unless I see absolutely no use in an item (either because I really don’t plan on using it or because I have too many of them), I’ll be using it (of course though, I almost never accept or send trades in the first place, so it’s just that I’m a coward as I don’t even trust the value list itself).

srry I use modifiers :rage: (I don’t) (I just think they are funny for single stat builds)

I just tell them I don’t trust or agree with the value list.

yeah I mean der0n DID give me that modified amulet

While i do agree with wanting to see more negotiating and natural trading, i do have to say that

The values on the list are anythint but overpriced. Most of them are so outdated to the point that the actual price is usually like 30%+ higher than the valuelist price :sob:. Iirc acrimonies are 75k on the valuelist while in reality its pretty easy to sell an interchange pot for 50k and therefore make 100k off of an acri. Thats 25k youre missing out on which is 33% of what youd sell it for by using the valuelist. Many if not all seasonal and sunken values are also underpriced while iirc scrolls are overpriced

But yeah finding someone to negotiate and trade naturally (without the list) with can be somewhat difficult. I personally havent had many issues with rigid valuelist traders in the last like 4 months tho

I would like to never use the value list - but its almost garanteed that I’ll get scammed

Can’t wait for trading to crumble to dust when auction house gets release (/hj)(auction house will be great)

exactly

im not gonna lie
i dont care if its seen as getting scammed to some people, if i find what i get out of a trade more useful than what i lose then i accept it
which frankly is what trading is made for anyway but yk

I had issues with it when people priced “archaic caped silver” at 20k because of value list -_-

hoard your galleons!

Were they actually ever 20k on the value list? I dont remember that nor does it seem logical since archaic out of all things isnt that valuable :sob:. But ye thats annoying

stfu nerd ur the only annoying thing

Ur banned kid

that’s 25% you’re missing out on, you’re losing out on 25k of the possible 100k, therefore 25%.
It doesn’t make sense to say 33%, maybe like “that’s 33% more value, or that’s 1.33x the price” works, but “33% you’re missing out on” implies that the overall value is 112.5, which it is not.
otherwise I use value list because I don’t trust this community enough to go off my own feelings (even though I usually scam myself      ).
