I’ve never seen one in my 60+ hours of playing the game
I mean they have a random magic as far as I know, but I never fight them so I can’t confirm
I’ve seen every other type of captain except for that one
I have seen a magic council shadow CAPTAIN and scout/soldier (forgot which one). If you want, I can show you some pictures I took, but my screenshots folder is very full so it’ll take me a bit.
Captain magic is randomized, they can have any default magic

Shadow magic captain (You’ll have to take my word that it wasn’t a player as it would’ve been a bit difficult to get a better photo being in the middle of a silent tower raid, but you can take the shadow scout as a confirmation that shadow captains exist because like why have a shadow scout if you cant have a shadow captain.)

They exist. Just not common I guess
There’s roughly around 56 magic variations, so its a bit rare to find one.
