Do y'all have any lore/backstory for your AO OC?

Winter Water (The Guiding Star)

An “artificial” human, who acts as a doctor and guide, and wishes only to heal others and cleanse Chaos with healing, rainbow light. He currently travels with Adam Fallenfire as his second-in-command, healer, and navigator.

Backstory Summary

To add onto this, Winter is also a legacy despite not being a direct descendant of Phanes.

Whitney Windmask (The Shackle Breaker)

An enigmatic and infamous criminal of unknown background, who firmly believes that everybody should be free, no matter who they are. They travel around the War Seas, freeing countless hostages and prisoners they cross paths with, and earning them a decent reputation among most, aside from the Grand Navy.

Backstory Summary

Whitney themself was once a prisoner of many factions at certain points, prominently the Order of Aesir and the Grand Navy. However, as if through divine intervention, they have managed to break free each time. Because of this, the Grand Navy has ordered that they not be captured but instead killed on sight.

Alexandria Stone (The Loan Shark)

A former high rank Paramount Bank banker turned immortal criminal. She works as an illegal drachma lender, targeting the vulnerable and greedy alike. Those who were unable to pay up in the end are said to have signed a contract with her, before eventually dropping dead as lifeless husks with seemingly no explanation.

Backstory Summary

Somewhere in the past, Alexandria found Hades’s soul in the Dark Sea after he was defeated by the Peacekeeper. Because of her immense greed, she chose to sign a contract with him, granting her immunity to death. In turn, she must extract spirit energy from living humans via contracts to keep herself young, and transfer most of it to Hades for him to absorb, so that he may regain his power and strength much faster. Otherwise, Alexandria’s body will slowly rot away while she’s still alive.

After making a pact with Hades, she deserted the Paramount Bank after her countless years of drachma laundering and embezzlement. She now uses her ill-gained wealth to sustain her lavish lifestyle and lure people into borrowing drachma from her with absurd interest rates. This is so that she can either gain more riches or eventually coerce them into signing a contract with Hades to pay their debts. This results in them allowing him to slowly drain and feed on their spirit energy until they eventually run out and wither away.

Ashton Blaze (The Ashen Curator)

The mysterious founder and curator of the Xechasmenos Museum, where he displays countless curios, antiques, and art pieces from the pre-Fracture era, most of which are recovered from the Dark Sea. With each artifact comes a long, intricate, “made-up” story pertaining to its history. He frequently commissions Adam Fallenfire and his crew to search the Dark Sea for more potential artifacts.

Backstory Summary

Ashton is secretly the current ash curse user, and his backstory dates all the way back to before The Fracture.

He was once a popular noble in the city of Dunwich, known to frequently throw banquets and perform acts of community service. He generally had a close relationship with his comrades and people. That is, until Acheron and his army marched to the city’s gates. Being warned of Acheron’s arrival beforehand and knowing he was a likely target due to the curse he held, Ashton transformed into an ash statue and buried himself in a temple deep within the earth. Because of this, he managed to barely avoid the explosion.

After the events of The Fracture, he stayed in this statue form to protect himself against the immense magic pollution that came as a result of The Fracture. He spent countless years as a petrified statue, floating all alone in the midst of the remains of the kingdom and people he once served, a place that is now known as part of the Dark Sea. These couple hundred years of interminable solitude Ashton experienced would have caused him to go mad if it weren’t for his ash curse preserving his mind incredibly well.

Ashton eventually washes up on a highly populated island. After relearning to walk and getting used to the feeling of sunlight, he is introduced to a new, vastly different world than before The Fracture. Nobody there knows Dunwich or anything about the time period he originated from, as if none of it ever existed. While attempting to explain to a group of citizens with his faltering memory, he has an epiphany:

He is possibly one of if not the only person left with the history of his people, and, despite the ash curse’s preserving properties, even he himself is beginning to forget them.

This was the spark that, after many more years of hard work, led him to found the Xechasmenos Museum, which is still standing proudly for over two hundred years. Here, he continues to display all of his antiques, or the possessions of his long-forgotten friends, comrades, and family, so that he may preserve the memories and stories of the kingdom and people he once served and has now forgotten the faces of.

I have way more files but I’m too tired to type out summaries of all their stories rn… :sob:

Maybe I’ll eventually reply with the rest idk
