would you like to explain.
I do got lore for most of em
not as much in the backstory part though
Nothing crazy, but I like to think for my files that they’re either cursed by Ares or a reincarnation of him that either got messed up or happened to early leaving them with no memory of their past life and their powers indistinguishable from that of an ordinary legacy. The only real difference is that they unintentionally bring war, death, and tragedy wherever they go. It works similarly with the cursed just instead of it being their own power it’s a curse placed on them by Ares as he thought of them as worthy of being his champion. Now that I think about it, I could call it a blessing instead, not cause it is a blessing in the literal fashion, but it’s the same kind of thing as the blessings in universe. The war blessing or some shit like that. In this case Ares has recently successfully reincarnated with at least most of his power which allowed him to create this blessing and place it on my character(s). This was placed on them before they got caught by the order, no one else was around when it happened, and they were never told what it does so they haven’t been able to tell anyone else cause they don’t even know. Because of that and them losing their memory nobody even knows they have this “blessing” or what it does.
Yes, and I WOULD link that 3 hour OC post (more like an essay) I made a couple years ago, but a lot of it is outdated now ![]()
I wrote lore for my sibling duo OCs (Ryan Talon (Fire Conjurer) and Rihanna Talon (Ice Iron Leg Warlock)) where their bloodline was handcrafted by Ares for war, and they had certain powers originally belonging to Ares that he gifted to them in order for them to be a very successful army of the gods until they rebelled alongside their creator against Mount Olympus due to all the events that happened during the age when gods were still alive.
Most of the bloodline died out due to certain groups or people hunting them down for their power since it had the potential to make magic so powerful by using their blood. So the two siblings along with their mother and grandfather are the only 4 known members still alive.
EDIT: Fun fact, the two siblings are the first and only two members of the bloodline able to use Magic since their dad is a mage, and even though the bloodline is powerful enough to where all members are 100% the bloodline no matter what, the genetic factor for magic still affected.
well yes, but its cringe and stupid, if you want to read it, youve been warned
so anyways-
file 1, Mike Arrow
first file, didnt really have any inspiration, resident of cirrus island, got pushed off by a fake friend, took a dip into the dark sea and washed up on an island where assasin syndicate members were waiting for him
uhhh timeskip to whitesummit and he got kidnapped by the order
file 2, Hannah Moonsilver
fanonically in a lesbian relationship with captain maria
something something she got high bounty so she fled into the dark sea and somehow survived there, also visits FoM every so often to restock on supplies
file 3, Victoria Blossom
probably the most detailed one out of the three. parents were researchers for grand navy and set up their base in drakos arch (because plants can grow there very well), got instructed by rear admiral amelia to research a flower with extreme regenerative properties that can even bring the dead back to life dubbed flos vitae (translated from latin: flower of life)
assasins syndicate didnt like this so they killed the parents and left, child (and the flower) survives albeit fused together (otherwise they both wouldnt have made it) and amelia has adopted her
also fun fact every one of my ocs have some sort of real world trauma of mine related to it
this is like the third oc lore thread
Fourth, I think
I do but it’s still so heavily WIP ![]()
Either way, TL;DR version of my main OC’s lore is:
Parents met at a waterfall (they were both supposed to kill each other cause of Thorne and Ryujin fighting each other but got demoralized)
They get married and run away after that
Older sibling of main OC comes 4 years before main OC
Parents vanish 2 years after main OC is born
I got nothing else to say here other than that this is the bare bones version of what I have
Very simplistic and undetailed at the moment and it’s definitely not the highest quality
Winter Water (The Guiding Star)
An “artificial” human, who acts as a doctor and guide, and wishes only to heal others and cleanse Chaos with healing, rainbow light. He currently travels with Adam Fallenfire as his second-in-command, healer, and navigator.
Backstory Summary
To add onto this, Winter is also a legacy despite not being a direct descendant of Phanes.
Whitney Windmask (The Shackle Breaker)
An enigmatic and infamous criminal of unknown background, who firmly believes that everybody should be free, no matter who they are. They travel around the War Seas, freeing countless hostages and prisoners they cross paths with, and earning them a decent reputation among most, aside from the Grand Navy.
Backstory Summary
Whitney themself was once a prisoner of many factions at certain points, prominently the Order of Aesir and the Grand Navy. However, as if through divine intervention, they have managed to break free each time. Because of this, the Grand Navy has ordered that they not be captured but instead killed on sight.
Alexandria Stone (The Loan Shark)
A former high rank Paramount Bank banker turned immortal criminal. She works as an illegal drachma lender, targeting the vulnerable and greedy alike. Those who were unable to pay up in the end are said to have signed a contract with her, before eventually dropping dead as lifeless husks with seemingly no explanation.
Backstory Summary
Somewhere in the past, Alexandria found Hades’s soul in the Dark Sea after he was defeated by the Peacekeeper. Because of her immense greed, she chose to sign a contract with him, granting her immunity to death. In turn, she must extract spirit energy from living humans via contracts to keep herself young, and transfer most of it to Hades for him to absorb, so that he may regain his power and strength much faster. Otherwise, Alexandria’s body will slowly rot away while she’s still alive.
After making a pact with Hades, she deserted the Paramount Bank after her countless years of drachma laundering and embezzlement. She now uses her ill-gained wealth to sustain her lavish lifestyle and lure people into borrowing drachma from her with absurd interest rates. This is so that she can either gain more riches or eventually coerce them into signing a contract with Hades to pay their debts. This results in them allowing him to slowly drain and feed on their spirit energy until they eventually run out and wither away.
Ashton Blaze (The Ashen Curator)
The mysterious founder and curator of the Xechasmenos Museum, where he displays countless curios, antiques, and art pieces from the pre-Fracture era, most of which are recovered from the Dark Sea. With each artifact comes a long, intricate, “made-up” story pertaining to its history. He frequently commissions Adam Fallenfire and his crew to search the Dark Sea for more potential artifacts.
Backstory Summary
Ashton is secretly the current ash curse user, and his backstory dates all the way back to before The Fracture.
He was once a popular noble in the city of Dunwich, known to frequently throw banquets and perform acts of community service. He generally had a close relationship with his comrades and people. That is, until Acheron and his army marched to the city’s gates. Being warned of Acheron’s arrival beforehand and knowing he was a likely target due to the curse he held, Ashton transformed into an ash statue and buried himself in a temple deep within the earth. Because of this, he managed to barely avoid the explosion.
After the events of The Fracture, he stayed in this statue form to protect himself against the immense magic pollution that came as a result of The Fracture. He spent countless years as a petrified statue, floating all alone in the midst of the remains of the kingdom and people he once served, a place that is now known as part of the Dark Sea. These couple hundred years of interminable solitude Ashton experienced would have caused him to go mad if it weren’t for his ash curse preserving his mind incredibly well.
Ashton eventually washes up on a highly populated island. After relearning to walk and getting used to the feeling of sunlight, he is introduced to a new, vastly different world than before The Fracture. Nobody there knows Dunwich or anything about the time period he originated from, as if none of it ever existed. While attempting to explain to a group of citizens with his faltering memory, he has an epiphany:
He is possibly one of if not the only person left with the history of his people, and, despite the ash curse’s preserving properties, even he himself is beginning to forget them.
This was the spark that, after many more years of hard work, led him to found the Xechasmenos Museum, which is still standing proudly for over two hundred years. Here, he continues to display all of his antiques, or the possessions of his long-forgotten friends, comrades, and family, so that he may preserve the memories and stories of the kingdom and people he once served and has now forgotten the faces of.
I have way more files but I’m too tired to type out summaries of all their stories rn… ![]()
Maybe I’ll eventually reply with the rest idk
you see I ask this once every quarter of a yea
yes but you will never know
Heres mine, did like 2 years ago
Edit: now that i look back tho, im cringing alot
My character, Jesse Gold, he is a powerful explosion mage. In his story, Magius was not nuked out of the lore by Vetex. My character wanting to find out why crime was so high in Magius and who exactly the Minotaur was working for, decided to hit the open ocean after getting some information from the Minotaur, unaware he is an Oder baron (you see exactly where this is going). Upon reaching the war seas, the Bronze Sea to be exact, he would begin his explosive search. His powerful and proficient use of magic, taking on numerous dangerous criminals with connections with the Order, and him already defeating Minotaur alone would already have him on the Oder’s radar. One week after arriving in the Bronze Sea, they captured him after putting up a good, but futile resistance. The Order of Aesir’s brutal experiments and inhuman treatment would cause him to lose his memories, forget his spells/moves, and lose a large majority of his magic’s strength. Sending him back down to level 1 essentially. Yeah, bro was unknowingly poking his nose in a very dangerous group, I mean he knew there was something, but he had no idea who he was going up against. The Order of Aesir and its members are on a level where he cannot nuke them. Yet…
Not even a week after one of my friends asked me this exact question, somebody posts it on the forums.
I generally write my AO files as characters in a different, original universe, though I do headcanon my Earth Conjurer as somebody who wants to rule over her own kingdom after the main story. I also think of my Berserker as a transgender woman, since her early design looked a lot like how my main Mage does now.
Thinking about this repetitive question, I realise that the only two of my fourteen files that I attached a story to after liking their outfit are unwilling mass-murderers that are possessed by an external force (acheron’s dead revival magic for the first, dragon blood for the second).
for most of them yeah
i didnt finish their lore so
i got like a couple but im tired as hell rn and ill keep it short
