Personally, I quite enjoy the process. It’s good for what it is, but I kinda feel like it needs to be expanded in terms of ingredients.
I still find it hard to believe that the only source of protein besides Morden’s massive bootycheeks are fish and nothing else. The lack of livestock even in food form is also kind of sad, how much of the same three things can these people eat??

my reasoning is because i want cooking ‘loadouts’ (taking a set of food from your inventory)
also i want to mass cook food

It’d be nice if we were able to write down recipes somewhere in game but otherwise I like the current system
The mechanics are okay, I just despise cooking and hunger being in a game where it doesn’t belong.
simply allow us to put multiple of the same ingredient in each slot to cook faster
The cooking itself is fine, and I enjoy that it can give you temporary buffs, but the hunger bit is totally unnecessary and annoying.
i feel like there should be a proper ui similar to jewelcrafting cus it would solve two issues:
most annoying bit is scrounging through my inventory cause like
fish is at the top
fruit a tiny bit below that
then AAAALLLL the way at the bottom are mushrooms and spices.

Sometimes the whole inventory gets thrown out of order for no reason too and you just have rummage through everything
Yes, but it’s a pain. You need to invest hours of your day into repeating this boring task (cooking) just for it to be made viable (perfect cooking mastery).
It’s a direct clone of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild’s cooking mechanic, why does it need an added level of grind?

we should be able to transfer cooking/brewing/jewel crafting experience between files if we can’t have an xp boost for completing files

I wish there was a way to cook a ton of dinners really fast, because often i’ll be sitting in front of the cooking pot just doing the same thing over and over. Other than that, It’s pretty good
