Do you really think Mobile support for Ao is necessary..? (discussion)

In my opinion i think its useless, although it brings more audience, this “audience”, is basically 9 year olds playing on their mom’s iPad who will find the game over complicated and proceed to nuke the game with dislikes, id rather have xbox support lol, the way this game seems to work won’t fit into a mobile format, the ui and everything will look bad in a 6" phone screen, even if it’s optimized the amount of visual information will just bad
although in the trello vetex mentions that there will be an slight autoaim i doubt the fast paced combat will be almost impossible in a mobile device unless its a big screen (iPads, tablets etc etc)
not a suggestion, just my thoughts about it B)

As much as I play on mobile for Roblox, I kinda don’t think mobile support for AO is a necessarily good idea. It is going to be highly difficult to imagine a fight between someone on a phone compared to someone on a PC, and that can even include NPCs as well. The gap of capability between mobile and PC players is too wide to really incorporate the two. I can only imagine being able to play AO mobile-wise if I’m just gathering resources or exploring. The only solution I can think of for mobile players is being able to play AO if there are somehow mobile only servers, but I don’t believe that’s easy to do for Roblox games.

Honestaly, not really, it could even make people give more dislikes due to the difficult to play on mobile

(Most kid roblox players are on mobile)

thas what t I’m saying, tje only use that i would find to a mobile supported ao would be just a trading when im outside

Well free farming for guilds i guess.

there are pros for AO on mobile.
For example, if you are someone who is constantly farming chests or fishing for items (hi), it can be much easier on mobile, so you can do it all day, even when you are out (if you have mobile data).

This helps vetex with player count

I think Xbox will be more complicated then mobile for AO

Unless they give mobile completely different servers then playing mobile would just not be fun.

True but nah. I would like to play with my friends who are on mobile while im on PC

I don’t think it’s a good idea either. Even if it’s optimized to the max, I just can’t see AO performing well on mobile.
I fully expect mobile to be a net negative on the game’s like count and public reception.
And then there’s the possibility that having to make sure the game can run on mobile will limit what Vetex can do with the game, thus holding it back.

But hey, perhaps my understanding is flawed and mobile AO will be fantastic and a net positive. Only time will tell I suppose :man_shrugging:

I don’t think it is necessary, but it might be useful for some players.

Assuming they’d make it past the PVP shield

But what kind of player tho

I guess AO mobile would be really terrible.
I do hope it becomes a way to grind items for PC players rather than the main device to play for AO, kind of like that spin off club penguin game that got you coins in the main game, but just everything is the same but the device

think of porting a fighting game that was purely designed with different controls onto mobile

yeah its not needed in the slightest

The ABA community taught me that I cannot change other people’s minds on this issue,So I’ll just wish vetex luck in this and if he sees that it’s complicated don’t waste time.

Surely their accounts are not verified and if they are, they will simply go and play something else, I don’t think it will affect the likes account very much.

I feel like if he released the game for only PC, once the game started rising in popularity there’ll be people who start asking for mobile compatibility. I feel like this happens with a lot of pc-only roblox games.

It’s probably better to attempt to make mobile compatibility early on and see if it works instead of completely disregarding it until it’s too late to even consider adding it as an option. if vetex says he can do it, it’s not impossible for him.

Doesn’t matter either way to me though, I don’t plan on playing on mobile
