He’s pretty durable, and may have had enough juice left to slow down a bit and make it not lethal. As for getting out of the water, a nearby boat could have saved him. I forget how exactly the Sameria blockade is lined up, but that could lead to more activity in that area.
If also considering the theory that this was an Order scheme, then Order agents could have been on standby to salvage anything that falls from the sky, and may have had healing stuff on hand in case it was needed.
I think there’s plenty of ways things could go if he survived. For example, if the Order got him, and we run into him again, we may find out in a very fun way just what was going to happen to the player character if we didn’t take a vacation to Dawn Island.
Or maybe we spring him from the Order before he gets turned into research, we tell him it’s all the Order’s fault, we join him to go save Skyhall.
Or if he didn’t get got, maybe he’ll show up in a future sea, having sailed across the seas starting with the people that rescued him to learn to manage his condition and join the sea people that definitely wouldn’t backstab him and throw him off a sky island. Maybe it could be a quest chain, where we hear that he survived, and so we follow his path of exile to see how he’s done and make sure he’s not causing problems. Get ourselves a cool new quartermaster that way.
I’d say there’s like a decent chance the order’s plan was for him to get banished after doing something crazy while under the effects of the mageskin disease so they could nab him without having to worry about skyhall’s forces trying to search for him like they would if they had just kidnapped him instead.
its very possible that he survived as his “death” is off screen and not explicitly lethal.
but i think his character has run his course and he wont come back regardless. ion have any idea where the story is going but so far it seems like characters generally dont come back unless theyre like in the main cast. the story goes too fast to have anime plot twists of known characters coming back all the time.
I am pretty certain Allanon is still alive and will return. Thats about what I expect from the story, an energyless, heavily injured guy surviving after falling from a sky island into the sea. Later, Vetex may even send him into the Far Reaches, where he happens to eat a Moly or a Saint Lily’s flower or something and cures his disease.
Or even better, he just washes on some island, and it will be our storyline objective to go into the Far Reaches and find him Moly
Yes, the Far “You’re not supposed to explore them yet anyway“ Reaches expedition as a storyline quest, why not.
Mageskin disease is said to not have any known form of cure. Moly is a plant with extreme purifying powers that was thought to be extinct. A perfect cure in my opinion
