i’ve seen many, MANY people talk about how he’s alive and that he’ll come back as a villain and not an antagonist but oh my god i fucking hate those people like why do you seriously believe the guy whose own sister said was dead and that fell from hundreds maybe thousands of meters below to the ocean WITHOUT energy to fly or heal himself is still alive?? and what will he even contribute to the story like he’s super temperamental and won’t listen to any sort of reason aside from his sister wister telling him to stop (that just made him go somewhere else)…

i was going to reply saying that and how that would be an actual good plot point to further progress the story but i got lazy
the king did just say banished, not executed, so i think it’s possible
He fell and he fell below the clouds where we couldn’t see him hit the ground. Even if he was a regular level 1 guy I would still believe he was alive just because of that. Like it’s 1 of the top 10 rules in fiction. Falling offscreen has a 99% survival chance.
If I had to come up with an explanation I would say he recovered enough magic energy to slow himself down enough to survive the fall and then just washup somewhere. Maybe a ship picks him up, order or otherwise, or maybe he just ends up on an island I dunno.

It’s hypothetically possible, as King Zenith only pushed him off a thousand-meter-high cliff without directly killing him, but the only way for him to survive would be to:
A) Have the Featherfall effect active (probably not a canonical effect, and even if it is, we never see him eat a cooked Orange Swiftcap beforehand. It HAS to be from those too, since both Featherfall reagents aren’t in the Nimbus Wilds last I checked).
B) Fall directly onto a ship, whose crew catches him (Incredibly unlikely and coincidental; even if he was caught, he’d probably get thrown into the sea because of his temper unless it was an Order of Aesir ship specifically)
C) Fall into the ocean, survive even with injuries from his fight with the MC, have the strength to swim to the Vents of Aeolus, and not get eaten by the nearest shark. The most likely scenario, but also not practical.
Or perhaps an Order agent was hanging out inconspicuously beneath the nimbus lands, waiting for a guy with phoenix magic to fall down so that they can kidnap him.

Imagine we meet Allanon for a rematch and he’s like “I didn’t die, I ated an orange swiftcap” and then it cuts to a monochrome flashback of him falling down pulling a mushroom dinner out of his pocket.
Or y’know… he could’ve flown with his wings to soften the fall.
Something something, “Water bucket RELEASE,” something something…
idk his cutscene makes sure to show us he has no more energy left to both heal or fly (he even stops flying)
i bet allanon has no cooking skills so he’d never have an orange swiftcap meal
maybe he grabbed a baggie of it a servant made on his way out of the castle, like a school lunch

by all means he should be dead but he has so much plot armor i can see it coming from a mile away
I thought it was kind of obvious he wasn’t dead? his character was left extremely unfinished and underdeveloped. it doesn’t take a genius to come to the conclusion that he isn’t dead and is going to return. Unless it’s directly stated in game that you killed someone (fade to black and that little knife slash in cutscenes is usually a good indicator). I just hope it doesn’t turn into an Oda situation where vetex becomes allergic to letting characters die (which i dont think is going to happen anyway)
