Do you think king calvus should be slightly reworked?

In my opinion King Calvus needs some tweaking to be a fair final boss for the bronze sea nothing big just some adjustments. What I’m thinking is to make him say his moves in the chat log like how other magic user npc’s and players do so players can at least predict what he is going to do even if there not facing him. And lastly when Calvus starts charging his possible 1 shot explosion move a emblem should go under the players feet so they know they HAVE to stop him before he one shots them.

skill issue

The 1 shot move is pretty clearly telegraphed already so long as you’re actually looking at the boss. You really should only die to it once, at most twice, before figuring it out.

you make a good point and i have learned how to deal with it but with Calvus being about average size and the fact he may can be behind his thrown or under some rubble a additional indicator that’s always on the character when he is charging it will be a massive help to negate the feeling of unfairness that permeates King Calvus as a boss.

while inconvenient, he does have an emblem charging during the one shot move, it’s just on the ceiling of the arena

Ya i thought i got a glimpse of that but why though i dont think you will be looking straight up when there is a Angry rich guy about to delete me from existence

I think he’s good enough but Maria need some reworking like THE GOD DANG IFRAME MODE

bosses speaking their moves would be nice though. I mean, it could be annoying. but at least it’d make them easier to see

Calvus is genuinely fun and feels fair when you know what you are doing.

A bigger issue is that level 65s are fighting him because level locks are removed, and they have no way of leaving his arena to go level up and get more gear because they get captured when they go to the town while the two centurions chase them.
Yes, they can climb out of the courtyard or break a window, but they don’t think of that.

if they don’t think of that then that’s their problem, sneaking around the town should be a fairly obvious solution to that i think

ya that too they should at least put a cauldron and a cooking pot somewhere in the castle

We were all able to beat him eventually so he’s not impossible

Plus he’s even easier to fight now we have dodge reflexes in the game so he’s fine

Maria is a VERY cool boss conceptually but her iframes make her pretty hard to enjoy. She’s got awesome effects otherwise, but the below deck boss arena makes it hard to see the incoming tentacle attacks, so you got the option of jumping to the top and peppering her in this awkward cheese method or hiding in the corner where she will most definitley shoot the shit out of you since you no longer have room to dodge.

I kind of agree with the marker bit when he’s charging up the one shot, not for me but for the newer players who don’t quite understand what they are supposed to do. Like half of my friends who have played through the game have needed me to explain how to counter it

just make his orbital strike attack 360 no-scope you like lightnings in the dark sea

Calvus is fine.

I DESPISE MARIA.

99% of maria gameplay is standing on one of the masts of her “boat” and kinda just awkwardly tickling her for the next 3 minutes with blasts

Literally. You’re lucky if she doesn’t hitscan you with her spam 300 damage gunshots first, though, or spams the water tentacle move.

Its also the worst boss arena in the game in my opinion, besides iris (MAYBE).

lemme guess, accidentally dashed off the cliffs a few too many times?
