I’m torn. They already put a lot of work into it and even showed it off on patreon. But it’s still not finished, and Vetex is currently preoccupied with the Charting profession, which is apparently huge and will definitely need a lot of time to have its bugs found and patched, just like all the other professions did.
Full Release only has another 2 weeks at the very most. That’s not a lot of time to finish and bugfix both Charting and Magius, on top of all the other tiny tweaks they want to make to the rest of the game, such as QoL and of course, more bugfixing.
And even though it seemed like Magius was coming to Full Release, I don’t think I’ve ever seen it directly stated that it would be. Just because something was being worked on during Full Release’s development doesn’t mean it’s actually coming yet, as we know from Satyrs and Dragons. Maybe Magius will be reserved for the chapter 10 update.
I’m sure they can crutch it, otherwise the quartermaster thing would have to be pushed to chapter 10. Besides, aren’t those also on the to-do-list on the Trello
Yeah, I’ve underestimated the dev team before and they still got stuff out on time when I thought they wouldn’t. It is definitely a possibility that they could wrap up Magius despite all the things I listed.
However, I think we should keep in mind the to-do-list isn’t just for Full Release, it’s for future updates in general. We know for sure Ghost Ships and Dragons aren’t making it, even though they’re still on the list. Chapter 10 as well. So the Quartermaster thing being on there doesn’t tell us much. I suppose it’s notable that they updated it from low-priority and specified a prerequisite?
I dunno, I feel like they wouldn’t want to save something they’ve been working on for a while to a later update, as compared to, obviously, the things they haven’t started on that can be.
Considering the current time left before December ends and Vetex’s promise to release FR before 2026, I doubt it’d be a good idea if the Magius minigame was released.
Yes, it would be hyped, but with rush jobs comes more flaws in the system and more bugs to work out, and that just makes all the hype feel disappointing.
So no, I doubt it will, but at least we’d get a somewhat refined version.
I’m worried about rushed features too. It would be nice if Magius was finished, though. With both Professions done and the Quartermaster quest, Full Release could end off on a satisfying 25/30 checklist.
