i would say monster islands if you are into PvE, a very old game which lost support in 2018 (though if you grind enough you can test the second game)
boss fighting stages is good but gets boring after a while and is long

I did the same thing and had a lot of fun.
I used the wiki for random things here and there, but no guides or tutorials.

If you don’t like much handholding and are willing to learn from your blunders and prepared to make new characters you’re good to go.

Actually, one thing you should probably know is that making new characters is part of the game, and most people play in softcore leagues, take this info in any way you’d like.

ooh nice, yeah those are some pretty good mods but AA due to the drama surrounding it
(and also AA takes up so much CPU and RAM smh)

i also reccomend spirit mod, it got a massive update a few months ago and its amazing
