I just want to know if does because crystallization is a status effect.
currently, intensity only increases the length of the status effect. In the next update though, intensity will increase the amount of bonus damage crystal gives when shattered along with some changes to other effects. if you want to see the current full balancing propositions you can do so here. and if you want to discuss those changes, you can do that in this post.
