They say they only are in the bronze sea for around a month, do they travel the dark sea and maybe go to other war seas? question is do they go through the darks sea?
yes
so I was sailing through the Dark Sea a couple days back, then I noticed an icy Mirage Island off in the distance with a vaguely familiar shape. As I drew closer something kept bugging me about that island, and after a bit I noticed there were wooden houses unlike any you’d normally see in the dark sea. Their arrangement looked too deliberate, it didn’t seem like something you’d see on a randomly generated Mirage island. As i drew closer still, I realized “Wait, is that Toymaker Isle?? What the heck is it doing in the Dark Sea?” It defied all the laws of the Arcane Odyssey game world, Islands aren’t supposed to move and they’re definitely not meant to be in the Dark Sea. After a few more seconds of sailing, the sky finally returned to its regular blue as I realized that I’d exited the Dark Sea and the ambience was just sticking around a little longer than it was supposed to.
Now that I think about it, do they have underground factory bunkers to make the toys during their 11 month period in the dark sea? By 11 months they would be suffering from mild atlantification if they decide to just stay in their houses like that
They just put on some theurgist gear for warding and take regular showers
Toymaker island is the 6th lost sea cluster?
The island probably just drift from war sea to war sea and doesnt pass through the dark sea. Either that or their jollyness is equivalent to warding.
War Saint Nicholas expands his domain “Jolly Barrier,” which maintains the sanity of everyone within, and wards off the dark sea’s influence
Does his “Jolly Barrier” also disable PvP?
I know Toymaker Isle is far from canon, but it would be funny if it ended up being a preset island you could run into in any Dark Sea run when there wasn’t a Yuletide event going on. Could even depend on how long it’ll be until the next event season; a couple months before and after could be in Insanity Zero and so on until Insanity Two.
ngl at first I thought that was some fan story of a sailor finding the toymaker island at random
then I realised that’s actually very possible to happen — clearsight V and the time it takes for everything to go back to normal could deceive anybody
It is possible, and technically Frostmill does the same as in the title it says it’s an iceberg that drifs through the War Seas, but for centuries.
it’s pretty easy to survive the dark sea, just stay inside
Inside what ?
It can rain literal glass and the tornados are made of fire
Not to mention the Atlanteans who hit like a semi truck
No house or boat is protecting you
the toy house is invulnerable and protected by Christmas spirit
*Yuletide
