i know, but i don’t have the right software to make meshes and then there’d still be the same problem of animating it
Either add bones, or make a practical solution to our problems.
idk how bones work
Neither do I, I don’t animate.
No yoyos I guess
A yo-yo is probably more easy to add than a whip.
I’m trying to engineer a solution
Also stock if you wanna put whips into the game you’re making then feel free to ask me
Shhhhhhh! What game?
And nah, my mythical humanoid critters are not freaky enough for whips.
And if Vetex can’t do it, how can I?
what about chain sickles
The solution is to group the individual unions into models in groups of three
Therefore instead of having 21 segments we now have just 7
Simple, replace the segments with a chain mesh
There may be some way to create a loose rope attachment that doesn’t physically effect the rest of the model or user, but that wouldn’t be a chain, and it would be unpredictable and flimsy.
alr imma go sleep now
Whips…
Hey guys I know how to get extra galleons from your clans farms-
Bros edging the ban
oh right, i forgot people were 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂
I’m not JTN, but as an amateur 3d artist myself, here are the levels of torture that the modelling and animating of a whip&chain would be at:
- Whip
- Modelling
- Easy enough, it would only take a curve with several points
- Animating
- Depending on the way that it’s animated, it could either be easy or painstakingly long
- Modelling
- Chain
- Modelling
- Simple, would require to make a chain and then duplicate it through one of many methods
- Animating
- Depending on the way that it’s animated, it could either be easy or straight up torture.
