DONT do my mistake

The atlanthean essence effect is not something that gets added then stays a solid non-changing stat.

this piece of armor was the reason i discovered that i wasted around 20k worth of galleons in effort on nothing.

context :
i added the atlanthean effect and didn’t get the stat i was hoping for (power) so i asked in the #questions channel on why i didn’t get the stat cause at the time i thought it only gave power and defense.

this guys basically tells me that i fucked up and that i can’t go back on what i did and that its over for this armor piece (was a sunken chestplate btw)
which forced me to go trade away the sunken chestplate WITH THE ESSENCE ON IT INCLUDING MY GEMS for another nimble sunken chestplate off some random

now back to present time i finally managed to recover from this “loss” and tried adding power gems onto it which changed the effect’s stat from power to attack speed. i panicked and tried to somehow fix the stupid mistake i made by unsocketing the gems and that’s when i realized that THE STAT CHANGES DEPENDING ON WHAT’S ON THE ARMOR. (u might think that the other guy meant that i should just unsocket them but this ss says otherwise)

which then i realized that my dumbass spent 20k trying to RECOVER A LOSS THAT WAS NEVER THERE TO BEGIN WITH.

moral of the story : triple check before ever listening to anyone in #questions

Vetcordians try not to ruin someones day challenge.

the #questions people are my opps now :sleeper:

This is why I never use vetcord for advice on sensitive things like this.

I thought atlantean always gives 12 power

best explanation out there. though keep in mind its NOT static. so if u do unsocket losing the stat it goes back to the highest priority on the list

Wait, so if I had an Atlantean Carina Accessory and enchanted it with Virtuous the Defense would actually lower and i’d end up with some shitty magic size? damn

ive yet to test this but people claim that the enchants don’t affect the priority list, only jewels.
so no u wouldn’t get less defense

ima go test this rn, hopefull it’s unaffected by enchants

literally none of these boosts except for 12 power warrant the infinite +1 insanity debuff.
why is this modifier so bad???

I genuinely regret putting this trash on my exotic enchanted vatrachos since I thought it’d be a sidegrade that gave me a stat buff for hallucinations, not a strict downgrade.

I can’t even stack gems with the attack size modifier to make up for the loss either???

Ok just did some testing:
L120 Atlantean Titanium Armor - 194 DEF, 12 POW
Applied 1 POW Gem - 194 DEF, 1 POW, 18 SIZE
Applied Bursting - 194 DEF, 1 POW, 36 SIZE
Unsocketed - 194 DEF, 12 POW, 18 SIZE

Basically: Atlantean considers Gems when calcing for the bonus but not Enchants, so you’re safe to put Atlantean and Virtuous on, say, the Cernyx Amulet without getting Magic Size

UPDATE :

apparently its fucking bugged

but being able to influence it is intended right?

according to alphayeetred man no. its meant to stay the same stat without any change whatsoever no matter what u put on the armor once applied :skull:

(then again i don’t want to trust #questions people blindly so until vetex says something about it its influenceable)

A cautionary tale indeed. I never trust #questions on vetcord. Not only it is hard to recognize an answer while people keep flooding the channel, but also there is no one to say a second opinion about the answer
