this piece of armor was the reason i discovered that i wasted around 20k worth of galleons in effort on nothing.
context :
i added the atlanthean effect and didn’t get the stat i was hoping for (power) so i asked in the #questions channel on why i didn’t get the stat cause at the time i thought it only gave power and defense.
this guys basically tells me that i fucked up and that i can’t go back on what i did and that its over for this armor piece (was a sunken chestplate btw) which forced me to go trade away the sunken chestplate WITH THE ESSENCE ON IT INCLUDING MY GEMS for another nimble sunken chestplate off some random
now back to present time i finally managed to recover from this “loss” and tried adding power gems onto it which changed the effect’s stat from power to attack speed. i panicked and tried to somehow fix the stupid mistake i made by unsocketing the gems and that’s when i realized that THE STAT CHANGES DEPENDING ON WHAT’S ON THE ARMOR. (u might think that the other guy meant that i should just unsocket them but this ss says otherwise)
Wait, so if I had an Atlantean Carina Accessory and enchanted it with Virtuous the Defense would actually lower and i’d end up with some shitty magic size? damn
literally none of these boosts except for 12 power warrant the infinite +1 insanity debuff.
why is this modifier so bad???
I genuinely regret putting this trash on my exotic enchanted vatrachos since I thought it’d be a sidegrade that gave me a stat buff for hallucinations, not a strict downgrade.
I can’t even stack gems with the attack size modifier to make up for the loss either???
Basically: Atlantean considers Gems when calcing for the bonus but not Enchants, so you’re safe to put Atlantean and Virtuous on, say, the Cernyx Amulet without getting Magic Size
A cautionary tale indeed. I never trust #questions on vetcord. Not only it is hard to recognize an answer while people keep flooding the channel, but also there is no one to say a second opinion about the answer
