👁️DOORS Seek chase theme but the player fights back!

An epic battle remix I wrote a while ago, based on DOORS Seek Chase and Elevator Jam music.
The cover is actually inspired by conjurer magic imbue. Check it out!

Guiding Magic when

not bad, but I feel like giving feedback for some reason:

-A lot of the piece feels like like you’re fighting, and more like some hell mode chase. There’s definitely some parts where it does do well, but a lot of it (due to relying heavily on the pre-existing rhythm for the chase theme) is more “run its chasing you run bruh run run run get moving” rather than “im gonna teach you to beware the man that throws in hands”. There’s also more than hectic, high-energy music that can get the idea of a fight across. Here’s a few examples I can think of, that all vary in terms of intensity, that you could definitely imagine some sort of fight to (cause i do lmao not all of these even are boss music):

-For some reason, it kind of feels like deltarune music in some parts? Not a bad thing, but possibly not a good thing either, given that I don’t think you were going for a turn-based battle here? It’s not really the right feel for something that wouldn’t give you all the time in the world to think for your next turn.

-I don’t feel like the bridge/calm part really fits for a battle theme, at least in the way it’s implemented? Presumably in a fight like this, there wouldn’t be any section where it’d feel right for it to get THAT calm. I’d normally expect something like that in, again, something turn-based, or in like an emotional cutscene, rather than what I think you were going for with this remix.

please dont get the idea that I hate the remix though its pretty good actually, i just think some parts could be improved a little and tried to give my opinion on how you could improve it

This is lowkey peak, What plugins did you use for it?

Wow, thanks for those song recommendations! I’ma check them out.
For this track “vs Seek”, it’s not merely a gaming battle BGM theme, but it delivers a story:

”The player is tired of being chased again and again. He chooses to fight back, being knocked out, then he has flashbacks of the tough journey he has overcome. The journey must not stop there, so he stands up with determination to end Seek once and for all.”

I summarised it in the time stamps under the description (but ig people seldom read desc nowadays *slight sob). For the bridge that you heard in the middle, the plot (having flashbacks) is one of the reasons explaining why there is a calm transition in between. The other reason is to create a smooth transition from Seek theme to Elevator Jam. And also, ears get fatigued if the intensity of music lasts for too long (at least for me). I do agree that there are millions of other tracks that can maintain a suitable level of intensity. Lifelong learning as always!

Again, thanks for listening! Really, REALLY appreciated that

Edit: Nine Sols mentioned big W

Ayy thanks! I use FL Studio to make this track. What’s more interesting is that I use its stock instrument plugins ONLY :poggerfish:

Note that people usually embrace third-party instrument plugins because they give higher sound quality and more flexibility in sound design. But stock plugins still have their potential if using them right. (Most importantly, a lot of third-party plugins cost money TAT)

could I request this goes on spotify? (if it isnt already)

It will, but as a yearly album. Uploading them to Spotify takes a while because I’m using a free platform to do it. Most music distribution platform requires paid access :frpensive:
