I personally dont mind the blast nerf that much because I intentionally try to use as many different spells as possible during combat just because its more fun
Blast and Beam spam may be the meta but its just not fun, and games are about having fun

Youâre right, the freshies at Redwake really do need to break up their meta and use quake and enchantment more
who even uses blast at redwake, its way more efficient to use your dagger m1s since it has higher dps and doesnt require aiming
Idk maybe freshies who want to properly play mage and arenât invested into meta?
A lot of people do, especially new players who want to use the cooler magic instead of a dainty dagger, they donât really care about DPS.
Thats a terrible point then, thereâs no fun in a magic zero to hero rpg that lets you âblast throughâ the game without pushing you past the starting spell.
Its like if the new Doom devs lets you confortably beat the game with the starting pistol
well even then, magic m1s at that point in the game are still better than blast, and will be even moreso now with the nerf
Problem is that you canât also say the same thing for Crash, which isnât really fair (especially since Crash has an actual requirement as well).
You could (and still very much can post-cooldown nerf) beat every boss in the game using exclusively blast, but the task is substantially harder with only crash.
This is how hybrid weapons cost will be.
So for example, level 80 str weapon, 3rd skill with 60 req skill, will cost 120/80 wep/str.
Weapon cost is calculated as: WeaponLevel + SkillReq - 30 + SlotAdditions
While str cost is just level of the weapon. From what i understood at least.
I can only hope that whatever moron decided to pitch the 1.5 cooldown idea to Vetex, gets pelted with rocks and beaten with sticks. And the âexperimentalâ change gets forgotten and erased, but thatâs probably not happening. But one can dreamâŚ
like seriously if youâre a complete newbie to AO, why the hell would you play ARCANE odyssey and not want to use magic. yk. the first method of attack appear in the character creation screen? like its pretty reasonable for people to assume magic is the main thing (it is) and the other stuffs are just side dishes
Were any buffs or changes to behavior of crash vetoed?
It really sucks that, because strength is underpowered in PvE, all other stats need to be nerfed, instead of strength getting proper reworks, especially for early game PvE.
I meant buffs that would bring crash on a level that wouldnât require other stats to have their basic moves gutted
I donât understand the act of nerfing a thing because other classes donât get to do it. Like maybe instead of gutting the Beginnerâs Holy Grail because someone on the balance team couldnât parry for shit. Itâs would probably work much better, if you give other classes a move that can be just as reliable for beginners, that also defies their playstyle..
But unfortunately, the BToyim only wish to bring despair to the entire playbase of the gameâŚ.
The existence of a holy grail move is the problem
You know I think I speak for myself and for others when I say that we all want an update that doesnât add any new content but just optimizes the game so I donât need a mission control room to stand still on an island
Whatâs wrong with having a nice little move for struggling rookies and beginners?
If your problem with a move is âItâs getting spammed too much!â Then why donât you just make a nice little system for all moves to have longer cooldowns the more times you use them in a row. If youâre going to ruin something, then might as well fuck everyone in the ass too, because weâre feeling like little bitches who canât comprehend the concept of a move thatâs designed properly.
