This is what athena think she is

Imagine if somebody collects all of the pages, finds the Athena island, and instead of being greeted by a cutscene, the game instead downloads Slender: The Eight Pages onto your hard drive
The new technique is pretty solid. Could actually be very useful for slow fighting style builds in order to better close the distance while fighting.
the video is written as if it were ingame now ![]()

I still cant believe weāre on the third part of the Patch notes Discussionā¦
just a few months ago we were stuck on part 1.
anyways Iām wondering what those 26 topics will cover.
they certainly cover topics

Intriguing.
Canāt wait for the Tiananmen square page that is just a blank piece of paper for the player to draw dicks and cool Ss on
Guess i was right about Athenaās energy color being pink
Could that be her like spirit or magic energy?
im kind of not a fan if this is the only way weāre supposed to learn about some of the more intricate power systems in the game. it would be cool if we could see them in action or something as we explore the world and then maybe have an npc explain or have us realize it instead of just having it be told to us after finding a random page in a siren lair
iām taking words from someone elseās mouth with this, but it feels like a lot of the journals that we find are specifically written to be as convenient to a future historian as possible. it doesnāt feel real, and it takes a lot of the room for theories out of the game. it would be so much cooler if we could find āhey this guy was a part of the kingdom that turned into the navyā by finding environmental clues about who he was allied to instead. blackreach couldāve had so many theories surrounding it if there were navy outside and corsairs inside, but nope
techās riddles are interesting. i would love to have stuff like that in the game, stuff thatās vague and doesnāt give a whole lot of answers. but there are no entries in ao i can remember that really raise any questions (other than forest of masts and makrinaos? but even the journal in makrinaos is kind of written like this), they only give answers.
and really? weāre destined to restore order in the war seas? to be fair, that is kind of interesting, because āorderā could mean a lot of different things
as for the good parts about this feature, i do like that weāre getting an in-game wiki thatās harder to access that rewards you for exploring the dark sea. thereās finally a good in game reference for some of the harder systems like potions and jewelcrafting, and itās much easier to use and much more up to date than the fandom wiki. combined with the guidebooks, this will make learning the game a lot easier, and iām all for it
Thereās literally a quest that teaches you both things, and fandom wiki pages are completely fine. Again, if you find a mistake, you can very simply correct it yourself.
these arenāt meant to teach you how to use the systems, theyāre meant to give you an in-game reference for all of the possible gems/potions without having to look them up, which is very convenient, and a very good feature since you can now know what exactly you should be farming/grinding for without going on the fandom, which can have outdated information.
if iām a newbie, i probably wonāt know that the wiki is wrong or incomplete, and most people donāt even know how to edit the tables that the reagent info is on anyway (you need to use source editor or its hell), so having a true source of all potion reagents and what they do that is always 100% accurate and easy to use is very awesome
I mean the trello is supposed to be accurate too since it belongs to the people making the game itself but itās so outdated it probably remembers AA
Either way, tell someone the exact mistake you found so they can fix it, I know how to work with tables, so at least message me what you think is wrong
yea the list in Athenaās isnāt a tutorial itās a reference list
iām not saying there is something wrong with it, iām just saying that the book of athena is a much more convenient list thatās probably programmed to be auto-updated, and itās in the game so i donāt have to tab out and check the wiki, which could be wrong
Huh, thanks no. Atleast not something too close to how they are presented now. They are cool and all, but solving them without Techās comments would be impossible. I think itās not easy for both sides, he has to be very careful at hints. I doubt someone would ever want this to be their daily routine.
Candies taste better the less you eat them. In my opinion Techās riddles would also lose their charm, if there will be too many of them.
This on the other hand I would really like to see. And to be more exact I mean some stories and things that are never going to be fully explained. Mystery that would be left uncovered forever. Such things would encourage people in making their own view and understanding of Arcane Universe, unique to them.
Perhaps a chain of quests about some mysterious things or artifacts that end up with us getting close to them, hunting for them (maybe preventing them from being stolen by OoA) and then an untimely dissapearance or destruction of these things would have been an interesting plot (if done correctly) leaving us with even more questions, theories and joy than we had before starting it.
