equipping multiple of 1 weapon was tried and it didnt work in the end for reasons, had to be cut from full release
more skill slots for weapons soundw nice but what about non warriors, they just get nothing after beating this “super hard boss”
Tide carer:
Level 1: waves and whirlpools can only hold you for a maximum of 10 seconds.
Level 2: you can now eat raw fish in order to get temporary shark repellent that lasts longer the higher the rarity the fish was.
Level 3: grants the tide carer’s conch horn, upon activation it will summon a wave in front of you, draining some energy upon use, the longer you blow the horn the more energy it takes from you and the bigger the wave gets, the wave spawns once you finish blowing the horn.
Level 4: you can now use your conch horn to summon whirlpools and create jets of water to launch yourself into the air. You additionally gain water breathing and a swim speed boost upon eating raw fish.
Level 5: you can now run on water, when running on water you gain a speed boost, your waves and whirlpools now harm enemies, and the jets of water can now be summoned on land as a slightly weaker geyser.
Also if you’re wondering what raw fish includes, it is anything that can be caught from a fishing rod that isn’t junk or treasure, so yes, you can eat a colossal squid… or even a turtle, raw.
Talents should be obtained exclusively through PvE methods.
PvP is optional not required as of Full Release.
laborer could use a bit of changes but otherwise you’re good
so basically the bane of all naval combat?
Make vampirism a talent instead of a fighting style.
Level 1- To get this talent the player must create Vampiric Dagger, this can be created by using taint urchin spines and a bottle of tainted blood(which we get from the vampirism npc). After we get the Vampiric dagger we need to use it on ourselves but unlike the normal blood disease dagger it doesn’t lower your health but instead it debuffs(slowness and lesser healing) you during daytime but this also gets canceled in shaded areas or areas which are darker or shaded like Mt. Othrys or The Catacombs of Makrinaos But it also grants you a new ability Siphoning. Each time you attack someone a trail(or something) flies to you and heals you. Siphoning only heals you by around 25 or so health per attack(might change it)
Level 2- To get 2nd level, the player needs to siphon 1000 health(might change it)(meaning you need to heal 1000 health and deal 1000 damage). This unlocks the blood bar, to fill up your blood bar you need to attack Npcs, when it fills up it makes you faster and durable. It also makes the daytime debuffs worse.
Haven’t thought of more levels yet also tell me if this is good cuz I honestly think it’s a little op or not that good.
Talent that lets you switch talents faster
Hunter Talent
Obtainment: Wandering NPC that spawns on moderate climate non-civilized islands that spawn animals. (Forest of Cernunno, Cedar Arch, Pefkos, etc)
First Quest: Hunt 10 animals in the wilderness
Talent Reward: Trap tool, you can place it down like a camp marker and it’ll passively generate meat every so often (mimicking an animal getting caught in it)
Second Quest: Catch 30 fish
Talent Reward: Cooking a fish gives you 3 scales (4 if you have the fishing profession milestone)
Third Quest: Cook 500 energy worth of meat.
Talent Reward: All meat-based dishes now grant 2x more energy
Fourth Quest: Slay an alpha animal (presumably more will be added but for now just the monos bear)
Talent Reward: Weighted Net tool that can trap smaller animals, and decrease the moment speed of bigger animals (including dragons, also makes them unable to fly until they break out of the net, Young dragons take about 20 seconds to break out, whereas mythical ones can break out in 5). When used on water you can catch batches of 1-5 common fish with a short cooldown
Fifth Quest: Slay a kraken
Talent Reward: You no longer get the reduced drop-rate from killing a sea monster without attachments, you get 50% more meat from all sources, and you are now guaranteed 1 unique drop from any slain animal.
Seasoned Combatant
Obtainment: Taught by Rill Hendrix at Whitesummit
First Quest: Defeat 10 assassins
Talent Reward: Your dodge reflexes now grant a bit of damage reduction
Second Quest: Defeat Architect Merlot
Talent Reward: You now get 2 dodge reflexes when out of player combat.
Third Quest: Talk to Cinthia at Makrinaos
Talent Reward: Sensing no longer darkens your screen
Fourth Quest (Now from Cinthia): Slay a seeker of sight member (NPC that would spawn like TOBR)
Talent Reward: Your sensing now changes into Evolved Sensing regardless of class. This form has traits of every classes sensing. These traits would show up as words rather than colors, being able to discern someone’s name, magic (if applicable), bounty/fame, and current health/max. Enemies stay marked for much longer on hit, and the mark is much more noticeable through smoke effects. Clicking on the sensing tab in the info menu lets you toggle everything you can sense like whether you want to sense sea monsters, “strong” enemies (rivals, minibosses, story bosses), etc. You can also sense people with the veil item from the assassin talent, however their info will remain hidden you’ll only be able to see where they are. You can also lock onto a target’s energy to filter out everything but their energy.
This sucks because it’s on a talent. This is what sensing should do by default. When I toggle sensing, I’m doing it because I want to find enemies’ locations, not to look at surrealist paintings.
as long as you have magic sense you should be able to find them fairly easy (if you dont then you get the classic “fuck your class in specific!” from vetex)
Even magic sense is quite unbearable, what do you do if your enemy has no magic?
Sense the lack of magic in the area
Sense the lack of magic in the area
(in all honesty, the only boss that you need sensing for is Jorund since hes the only boss that doesnt dock his ship, and I know what Jorund’s energy looks like)
does the net fishing grant fishing XP?
good question, i wouldnt know the answer to that
oh wait i made that, uhhh, yes sure why not
