“ A Superpowered Magic Weapon that was once a holy blade used by a proud warrior. It seems to have been corrupted by a forbidden, evil magic since its original owner lost it.”
–Arcane Reborn (Presumed copied Arcane Adventures)
The Durendal (or Durandal) is a Legendary Weapon from Arcane Adventures. It gave the user an early version of the Insanity effect, and in turn, was very powerful.
Its moves could be compared to modern-day Flash Strike and Tempest.
Let’s take a moment to think about that description.
“once a holy blade used by a proud warrior.”
“It seems to have been corrupted by a forbidden, evil magic since its original owner lost it.”
Now let’s see… we have two characters heavily related to each other and were around in the time that the Durandal was relevant.
I believe the sword used to belong to Freedrock.
There is no reason to give this man a sword if he’s already got the power of Radius Fist, so I bet Vetex did it to state something.
So then how was it corrupted?
Torren, I suspect. This is the crux of the theory, the “blade so evil”.
Once again, randomly giving a character a sword.
Furthermore, Durendal actually has modern relevance.
Now, look at this. A random AO UGC accessory, depicting Durendal before it was corrupted, in the modern era.
It’s being made significant, it’s gaining new details to its plot. This is a limited item, and the other one is not.
Look at this, too. Another legendary weapon, it doesn’t have that same Reforged tag.
Why would specifically the Durendal be given the “Reforged” word?
The Durendal is coming back, for all you Durendal fans.
Get ready (in 5 years) for the sword that insults you to come back.
