Stopping a wave in its tracks with a harpoon of all things isn’t much weirder than, oh I dunno, pulling a Superman and somehow not snapping a fishing rod as we reel in a Massive Colossal Squid, and then just hold it up in our hands like a wrestler with their championship belt.
The fishing line is blessed by Zeus himself (our fishing rods were a spirit weapon all along and fisherman are just oracles in disguise)
