Yes and no, Sacrifice directly harms the user to be used, while Equinox is moreso that’s is so powerful, destructive and unstable that it harms basically everything it touches, including the user.
so basically equinox is so powerful friendly fire is always on, including for the user

One of us should probably make this it’s own topic or something
nc idea, i have an idea maybe that you coul consider the user is constantly increasing their energy when they move. Walk and climb will generate slow, swim and run will be more and dash and high jump the most, when the energy reach below 160 percent and above 100 of the max energy bar they will move and attack faster and higher damage and if they reach above 160 percent of the energy bar they will enter overload which increase attack speed, speed and damage but they will take 1,4x damage that mean they will get hurt more and when they above 230 they will get dot and increase their attack, attack speed,… but it will be a countdown and when the timer set to 0 then the user will explode and destroying things nearby
Interesting route but I don’t think DoT would be the way to go for above 230%.
The self destruction thing would probably never happen, because you need to remember that you’ll be consuming energy as you fight so it’d be largely redundant. It also doesn’t really fit this specific fighting styles background unless you wanna talk about an “on death” scenario while overloaded.
if energy goes over 700% you should instantly explode and die
