Satanism, by its proper definition, is an acknowledgement of the Judeo-Christian faith… Yet still directly choosing to disobey God. Sometimes involves some “siding” with Lucifer, but not by blatant worship.
So, no, it doesn’t justify harming people.
Only satan worshippers do that and they’re universally hated.

from my own limited understanding of satanism (specifically like LaVeyan satanism) it was named that atleast in part to be shocking to people and make them think about it, rather than satan being worshipped or deified
it primarily values stuff like autonomy (which is apparently how Lavey chose to see god, the person themselves)
these are probably the most important things from its wikipedia page to understanding it. Even if im not an expert on it I think people should let the weird immediate assumptions when they hear it go away (even if its frankly reasonable given the name) because i think its primary values would be mostly agreeable to most people
i was scared about derailing at this point so uhmm this should probably stop now or go elsewhere
