About this, they actually go more in depth in regards to Proficiency Levels in the book, and describe it more as Levels in a video game where you can get exp towards (so, more similar to the system you described Anime Campaign had).
Each Tier 1 Star on a character sheet, as explained by Jello as well in a QNA, is around 8 points of Proficiency, with it taking 40 of them to make it to Orbit Tier Symbols. IIRC:
1-40 Proficiency is Star,
41-80 Proficiency is Orbit, and
81-100 Proficiency is Nova, up until getting maxed out.
In particular, Molly narrates to the readers that her proficiency was measured at 18, while her sister’s was in the high 60s. Rick Shades is also an interesting case, where (I’m not sure if they go into this in AC since I’ve never watched it) each time he makes a new friend with his epithet, he actually gains one point in proficiency. He’s also the only character that cannot “level up” normally compared to the other characters, and HAS to get friends to get stronger.
The world building in Prison of Plastic is super dope
i realized but does this mean a very creative person who recently discovered their epithet jump levels in creativity (example: being orbit creativity less than 1 day after discovering your epithet)
One thing I forgor to mention is, none of the stats are exclusive to epithets, for one, howie has maximum stamina, with alright creativity and proficiency as well, so someone who hasn’t learned their Epithet can still have creativity
ngl i maybe shouldve made her like 60-70 and she wants the arsene amulet so she can steal someone’s epithet and become young again
tldr: she wants youth
her health is deteriorating every time she used her epithet since her early 20s, but the effects only became significant at her 60s.
“ever since i’m getting older my epithet becomes more dangerous to use… the effects of constantly pushing yourself beyond limits placed a strain on me. i wish i can be a hero just like before…”
if i were to make another epithet erased art piece, what epithet should the next character have?
