Yeah ngl you can literally get cool cosmetics or even make your own in game in a mod or two, and also I have checked their eula and purchasing cosmetics is not illegal because it does not benefit the player in a way that can have leverage against other players (pay to win basically)
but this one, yeah some of them kind of acts like capes if we are pedantic here
For your information, selling a mod is against the minecraft EULA as it’s selling content built off of minecraft. An advanced physics mod used to do this and was forced to change that under the threat of legal actions.
This is the same, it’s a mod built off of minecraft and includes microtransactions. It doesn’t matter if it’s cosmetics or not, it’s using minecraft as a base, adds content to it, and profits off of it.
actually scratch that, my lawyer brain activated and rationalized that the reason the mod is not banned is because the mod itself is not being sold. Because the mod is free they are basically off the hook and the cosmetics things are optional.
