Exactly how much will galleons be worth in AO?

Question says it all, just I have a bunch of boss drops that I can’t get shot of, and I know they will become “sellable items” in AO. So, are galleons all that bad?

I’m pretty sure vetex is nuking codes, and you need a lot of galleons for ship related activities, so I would guess that they are worth a semi decent amount.

Galleons will be useful. In WoM crowns are really only used for upgrading and enchanting items. However in AO there aren’t really codes you can use to get free galleons and you’ll have plenty more investments you’ll need to put capital in, like your ships. The cash flow will be constantly going so having some coin would definitely be advantageous.

They’ll likely be very useful, here are just a few things that you’ll need them for:

  • Ships
→ You’ll be spending a lot of money repairing your ship, building blueprints you find in sealed chests, upgrading, and enchanting ship parts and deckhands.
  • Buying, upgrading, enchanting and disenchanting equipment & weapons
  • Auction house / marketplace
  • Clearing bounty & notoriety

And probably some other features that i can’t recall off the top of my head. I short, there’ll be a decent amount of things to sink your galleons into, meaning that it’ll definitely be beneficial to have a lot of them.

Thanks folks. So does this mean it’s worth me hanging onto my boss drops, so when they become sellable items in AO (probably worth quite a few galleons) I have a solid starting point in AO for ship related stuff, so it’s not quite as grindy?

yea

Definitely gonna be more useful than crowns for sure

I’m still running on my theory that each boss token will be worth 2000 galleons. When you sell them to npcs they are sold for 1/4 the value of course because npcs are a bunch of scammers.

When you compare that to the number of boss items I have, that’s 1,500 galleons, which from what I’ve seen on videos is a lot (people on vids only have a few hundred in my experience).

true. and some people have like 100+ boss drops. like me I have like 120. so that would be 60000 galleons.

I guess it will probably be less then.

I think they are going to be very good for getting your ship started

would you say it’s worth it to spend a bunch of crowns on sellable items like iron armor and fishing rods for arcane odyssey or no (assuming you have thousands of crowns and don’t play wom anymore)

Im thinking each will be worth around 800 galleons with a sell price of 200, if they each sold for 500 galleons it could be a disaster considering some people have 20-50+ boss drops

Yeah I also think 200 is a pretty reasonable amount for them to sell for. It’s probably better to keep our estimates on the lower end so that we aren’t disappointed if it’s not as much as we thought it would be.

@ThatOneGuy

better to buy anything that carries over to ao over losing your crowns in the release so yeah (not cultural items or anything like that though obviously)

perhaps.

I really hope that AO is going to have a functional trading economy.
Roblox games (or just games in general) with good economies are few and far between.

If we hit the point where it isn’t straight up deemed an insult to trade galleons for an event item we’re headed in the right direction.

me with my 300 fishing rods

I predict that they’d be the cost of
1 clown nose
