Exotic Deckhand Artifact

Exotic Deckhand Artifact
effort 2.333333333333333 3 quality 5.0 3 reasonability 4.666666666666667 6

So as of now our deckhands abilities are slow as hell, especially shipbuilder which is useful in the dark sea especially when we can’t manually fix our boat.

I just propose an exotic artifact we can get from crates and underwater chests that gives Ability Cooldown Reduction % to deckhand abilities :+1:

me getting all them on all of my deckhands and using cooldown duration 100%:

Each of them gonna be like 5% and ik damn well you don’t have 20 deckhands

sure buddy just wait until I pull up with my ship of the line

Time to see Effort and Quality get gutted

you would actually only need 10 deckhands to get 100% with a 5% artifact since each deckhand can hold 2.
A 40% cooldown reduction sounds like something very worthwhile to grind for.

:sunglasses: yep

Y’know I was actually thinking about this a while ago, great minds think alike ig?

never really understood the effort rating. if you cook peak in 5 words, you cooked peak in 5 words. the number of words shouldnt need to be artificially inflated

My question is, what should the actual artifact be?
Here are some of my considerations:

  • Old Tin Cup (literally an old, stained metal cup; a reference to how popular coffee was [and still is] as a commodity back during the era of exploration; coffee is known to give its consumers an energy boost and decrease fatigue, which makes sense for an artifact that decreases your deckhand’s cooldowns)
  • Tattered Logbook (an old journal belonging to a long-dead quartermaster; on a pirate ship, the quartermaster was second-in-command to the captain, responsible for managing rations and supplies, supervising crewmembers, and dividing up stolen loot among the crew; in the game, we have Enizor and/or Edward Kenton as our quartermasters)
