Time for a necro. And no I don’t care (CN)
Lawful Good
Many people look at this alignment thinking it bland. I believe otherwise. Many Lawful Good characters or people can have dark backstories. A lawful good character in my eyes is someone who strives for the betterment of society and everyone above themselves. They feel joy at others happiness and follow their moral codes to the death. Also they strive for benefiting society. Being Lawful good doesn’t mean you’re perfect. Some good people have to be selfish at times to, and they’ve undoubtedly made mistakes in the past or gotten in a fight. Yet, they still strive to be better and be greater than they are.
Example:
In D&D a gold dragon is lawful good. They follow their codes and refuse bribery. They don’t like talking but don’t mind helping out those who truly want help. Yet still they can be selfish. They also have killed though they don’t feel shame when they kill and only to protect themselves or their rare few friends.
Neutral Good
This alignment is difficult to think about. I personally think this refers to those who Want to be kind. Unlike lawful good they aren’t as strict with their codes. They are likely to help someone in need if they have the ability to but if they are also struggling they might not. They just want to have a good time and most times it’s by seeing other people feel joy. At the same time they aren’t willing to risk their own lives.
Chaotic Good
Ah yes. These people want to be happy without hurting others. They have many flaws but they also love people. They strive for their goals willing to bend the rules and also want to make others happy while striving for these goals.
Example: Monkey D. Luffy
Lawful Neutral
They follow their moral codes. They also strive for their own joy like most people.
I don’t have much for this one.
True Neutral
I’d say this relates most towards a more animalistic survival. They do what they do simply so they can continue living. If it doesn’t benefit them they probably won’t do it. They aren’t likely to hurt others knowing that those same people might come and hurt them again. If they help someone its to benefit themselves. For instance teaming up so that their survival chances are increased in case of an attack.
Example:
The average worker or person who values their lives. They just want life to be simple.
Chaotic Neutral
You strive for chaos. You don’t want others to get hurt unless they hurt you though. Additionally you want what you want and you will get it.
Lawful Evil
These creatures/people use the rules to their advantage. Many times they thirst for power or wealth and will find loopholes to get around the laws. If they can they will off people who pose a threat and they only care for themselves. If someone serves a purpose to them they will be kept alive until their purpose is used. Once done they might be killed so there isn’t any evidence.
Example:
Many dragons in stories tend to be lawful evil. Those dragons conniving in the shadows and twisting the rules to get themselves money and power in humanity. They are snakes. Green dragons in D&D are a great example of this kind.
Also politicians most times though rarely there are lawful neutral or lawful good politicians.
Neutral Evil
These creatures don’t care if others get hurt and they have worldly goals. They thirst for wealth or power. MAny of them are forced to live in back alleys shunned by the rest of society barely scraping by having to steal or murder just to continue living. That or willing to do anything just so they can have a place to belong.
Example: Many thieves, cultists, and assassins
Chaotic Evil
YES! These people don’t care who hurts. They find happiness in others suffering while they gain. If they can get away with murder or thievery just cause they might. They have slaves who work for them perhaps or just want destruction. They truly love others suffering.
